Highly Connected Nodes in Igraph
Hello R Help Team,
I have created graph from weighted adjecency matrix .Is there a way I can
find highly connected nodes in Igraph like the Package RBGL does.

igraph and plotting connected components
Hello there,
I am using the igraph package to build graphs from my data. If I plot a graph though, it's not easy for me to see what's going on. Does anybody know how to rearrange a graph to get a plot without too many crossing lines? Maybe other packages?
Thanks a lot in advance for any pointers,

igraph function "graph.bfs" unavailable
Hi,
I've installed the igraph package and have been otherwise using it successfully, but when I try to use graph.bfs I get the error:
could not find function "graph.bfs"
Moreover, I don't seem to have the documentation installed either. (per ?graph.bfs and ??graph.bfs).
I'm using RStudio v0.95.262 on windows 7. Below is the info for my R build:

igraph: decompose.graph: Error: protect(): protection stack overflow
I just got this error:

what can I do?
the digraph is, indeed, large (300,000 vertexes), but there are very
many very small components (which I would rather not discard).
PS. the doc for decompose.graph does not say which mode is the default.

Looping over graphs in igraph
Hi,
I'm trying to do some basic social network analysis with igraph in R, but
I'm new to R and haven't been able to find documentation on a couple basic
things:
I want to run igraph's community detection algorithms on a couple thousand
small graphs but don't know how to automate igraph looking at multiple
graphs described in a single csv file. My data look like something in

Hello,
I've installed the package RBGL (and XML and Rgraphviz) and tried to follow the
examples in the RBGL-manual
http://bioconductor.org/packages/2.2/bioc/vignettes/RBGL/inst/doc/RBGL.pdf
But when I try to plot the graph using e.g.
plot(dijk)
an error message occurs:

Minimum cutsets
The minCut function in RBGL package returns only a value or the minimum cut. I would be
really greatful if any knows of any R function or package available for
finding all minimal cut sets ( i.e., components whose failure will
results in a network failure) between any given pair of vertices.

loading igraph package on Solaris
Hello,
I'm having trouble getting the igraph package to load on Solaris. I
can get igraph to compile and install from a local directory without
issues using simply "R CMD INSTALL igraph", however "library(igraph)"
from within R gives the following errors:
Error in dyn.load(x, as.logical(local), as.logical(now)) :

error in installing igraph
Hi R users,
I got warning messages when installing the package, and I pasted the
messages below. I checked updates that my R-studio is already the newest
version. I don't know how to solve the problem. Thanks for your help.

Trouble compiling igraph. . .
Been and R-user for about 5 years now in an industrial setting, and
always find the mailing list most helpful. I have run into problem
compiling igraph on R. I have contacted the maintainer of igraph, and
he has determined that it is not an igraph problem.
System is FreeBSD 7.2, R-2.10.1 [also have a sandbox machine running
FreeBSD 7.3, R-2.11]. Both machines fail the installation of igraph.

plot.igraph
I am having trouble plotting one of my graphs (think graph theory graph with
edges and vertices, not scatterplots or histograms). For some pairs of
vertices, I want multiple edges to be visible in my graph. As an example of
this, in my script below, I want two edges to be visible from vertex 1 and
vertex 9 (among some others) yet when I plot it, only one edge is visible.

Installing bioconduction packages in connection with loading an R package
Dear all,
My gRbase package imports functionality from the bioconductor packages graph, Rgraphviz and RBGL.
To make installation of gRbase easy, I would like to have these bioconductor packages installed in connection with installation of gRbase, but to do so the user must use setRepositories() to make sure that R also installs packages from bioconductor.
Having to call setRepositories causes

issue with graph package in using RBGL -‘'graph' is not a valid installed package’"
Dear all,
I am trying to run the function "lambdaSets" using the package "RBGL".
This package uses another package "graph" which has been removed from
the CRAN repository, but is available at the archive
(http://cran.r-project.org/src/contrib/Archive/graph/).
I installed the package from the R menu at "install packages from

R and igraph problems
I have R 2.15.0 running under Windows 7. I installed the igraph 0.5.4 package from a zip file. When I attempt to load igraph using "library(igraph)", I get the error package igraph is not installed for arch=x64. When I repeat this using the 32-bit version of R, I get the same basic error but with "arch=i386" instead of x64.

Add attributes to igraph vector by name, not index
Hi,
So I've been figuring out how to use igraph in R and like it for it's speed
and simplicity. Now I have a graph built from an edgelist where vectors have
a $name attribute. I have another dataframe with attributes tied to a
vector ID, which is the same as the $name attribute of vectors represented
in the graph.
How can I iterate over the graph by V(g)$name and do
