samba and NT PDC
Hi, as windbind is not supported on FreeBSD I hope to get some hints how to solve the following issues: I want to setup a samba (2.2.2) fileserver that just contains the home-directories for all users of a Win-NT 4.0 Domain. - How can I use the PDC for authentication instead of smbpasswd? - I am looking for an easy way to auto-genarate a home-dir each time a new Domain-user is created via the

adapt may "cheat"
Just want to let whoever may be interested to know that the adapt function (package adapt) for multivariate integration may "cheat". A student here made a function f(x,y)=g(x)g(y) on the unit square and sent it to adapt, and adapt happily returned a value between 2 and 3 with an error estimate of the order E-11. He then used a 128-point Legendre quadrature produced by the gaussq.f

[Patch] Improve portability of regression tests
Hello All. As promised, here is what I needed to do to get the regression tests to work on AIX & HPUX. It goes into a bit of detail in the hope that others might be able to get them running on their platforms. I've run these mods on AIX 4.3.3, HP-UX 11.00, Solaris 8, Redhat 7.3 and OpenBSD 3.0. The problems I encountered: * prereqs (pmake, md5sum) * bad directory owner/mode causing auth

Can any one help me on this Issue
Hi Friends, I'm new to R ,I have a data frame Z16 which is genarated from another data frame, and I want to add ?%? & ?$? in row 4 and 5 respectively. when I?m trying using below logic, I?m getting warning message. I'm using R 2.14.2 Version Can anyone help me out on this. Note: Initially i used tranfrom function to do some calculations, where ever it should give zero, its

Plotting Confidence Intervals with a proiri calculated Intervals
I have already obtained my confidence intervals from a bootstrapping procedure and now I want to plot the estimates and the confidence intervals similar to the plots obtained when the geom_smooth function is used in ggplot2. [LLVMdev] Recalculating live intervals
Hi! I'm developing a register allocator that works iteratively. It spills some virtual registers on each iteration until all the rest have physical ones assigned. How can I spill some live intervals at the end of each iteration with new live intervals having correct weights? Thanks. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... "lmomRFA" package: error bounds/confidence intervals
Dear List I?m using the ?lmomRFA? package to fit different distributions to my data sample. To calculate the error bounds I used: regsimq(?) and sitequantbounds(?) So my questions are: Are error bounds and confidence intervals the same thing? And: Does regsimq(? boundprob = c(0.05, 0.95)) calculate the 90 or the 95% confidence interval? If error bounds and confidence intervals are

Colour-coding intervals on a line
Hi, This is a simple version of something that I am trying to do. If I can sort the problem basically, I figure I should be able to sort it for the program I'm writing (which would take longer to explain). I need to know if there is any way of using different colours for different intervals of a line on a graph. Eg. If I plot the line y=x for x=1:10, and split this line into 106 intervals

Logistic regression - confidence intervals
Please forgive a rather na??ve question... Could someone please give a quick explanation for the differences in conf intervals achieved via confint.glm (based on profile liklihoods) and the intervals achieved using the Design library. For example, the intervals in the following two outputs are different. library(Design) x = rnorm(100) y = gl(2,50) d = data.frame(x = x, y = y) dd = datadist(d);

Help with histogram intervals
Dear Sir, How do I change the intervals on the x axis of a histogram plot; let us say for example the intervals were 0,5,10,15,and 20, and I wanted to change the intervals to 0,2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20. I look forward to receiving your words of wisdom. Ivo [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

It is also iterative: it uses the spiller interface to insert spill code, which creates (unspillable) intervals for the spill code it

changes to y-axis labels in lmList intervals plot
Dear List, I am plotting lmList objects using plot(intervals()) in nlme package. I want to make changes to the y-axis labels. When I try to change cex of y-axis labels using the following: fm1 <- lmList(distance ~ age | Subject, Orthodont) plot(intervals(fm1), scales=list(y=list(cex = .7))) I receive: Error in bwplot(formula = group ~ intervals | what, data = structure(list( : formal
