Opus supported source client without transcoding?
Okey, thanks. Do you have any idea what I might use for feedings files to oggfwd? I have done a bit of searching, but I can't really find anything. With mpd it's possible to set a file as output with their fifo output plugin: http://www.musicpd.org/doc/user/ch05s06.html#idp58733200 But it seems like it's a PCM stream and not the file as-is. Crossed random effects in lme
Dear all, I am trying to fit a model with crossed random effects using lme. In this experiment, I have been measuring oxygen consumption (mlmin) in bird nestlings, originating from three different treatments (treat), in a respirometer with 7 different channels (ch). I have also measured body mass (mass) for these birds. id nest treat year mlmin mass ch hack 1EP51711 17

Opus supported source client without transcoding?
Hi! I'm looking for a Linux source client that supports the Opus codec and doesn't transcode/re-encode the music files. I have tried both mpd and Liquidsoap, but both re-encodes the media files even if they already are in Opus. I would like to be able to pre-encode my music library to, lets say, 100 kbit/s Opus files and then just stream them as-is. This would save storage space, CPU

complex data summary
Dear All, I am interested in using R to summarize data so that I can THEN do some additional analyses using behavioral data. I study birds, mostly, and often behavioral data that includes timing. So, for example, each line may be the occurrence of some behavior, and it would include identifiers for species, individual, date, time of observation and the various behavioral observations that may

Problems with lme random slope+intercept model
Dear all, I'm trying to fit a model on ecological data in which I have measured a few biotic and abiotic factors over the course of a few days in several individuals. Specifically, I'm interested in modelling y ~ x1, with x2, x3, and 'factor' as independent variables. Because data suggests both slope and intercept (for y ~x1) might differ between individuals, I'd want to

Interest in E1 channel banks?
Our company manufactures an E1 channel bank that is approved for use in Australia (it should also be compatible with Euro standards). It is modular and available in 10, 20 or 30 analog port configurations. Signal monitoring and configuration is via Ethernet. These units are manufactured in low quantities for specific telco requirements. However if there was enough interest, we would be able to

Extension never ring, goes straight to VM
I installed a new * server and copied the sip.conf and extensions.conf from my existing setup to the new box. I created my outbound trunk with a different broadvoice account and am able to dial out without issue. I am able to dial all extensions but I go straight to voicemail without any ringing, this happens to both local and outside numbers calling my extensions. I have the correct firewall

Asterisk left in a bad state
Hi all, I'm using asterisk in a production environment now and this afternoon I got reports complaining that it was not working. Looking at the asterisk console output, I saw it contains lots of error messages as printed below. Unfortunately it is not obvious from the logs as to what started all this. Just before the error messages start, everything seems to be working fine with no problems.

Packages, generics, S3 and S4
My question has two parts. The first is with regard to the frame or environment in which generic functions are defined in packages. It seems as though they are defined (i.e. exist as objects) in frame 1, even when defined in a package. The following is a short example: setClass("track",representation(x="numeric",y="numeric")) plotTrack <- function(x,y,...)

Snap server in Samba PDC domain
I've trawled the Archives for assistance with this problem, but all the threads I've found petter out without a solution being posted. We have a Samba 2.2.1a server as a PDC for our network of NT4 and 98 machines. They all get along fine. We have roaming profiles established so people can move around. All no problem. We have a Quantum Snap 2000 server that has all our working

getting nut 2.6.4 working in Nas4Free
I'm trying to use a Nas4Free storage system. This same hardware worked fine on Freenas 0.7.2. O/S: Nas4Free 9.0.0.1.148 which comes with nut 2.6.4. UPS is an APC Back UPS RS 800. USB interface. Driver : usbhid-ups Port: auto my NAS is communicating with the UPS, but in testing power failures, I'm not getting the shutdown to be handled properly. When I pull the AC plug on the UPS,

Zimbra benchmarking
Now that I have a working kvm setup, I thought I'd finally try how Zimbra works. This is mainly some microbenchmarking, so it may not have much to do with actual performance in real life. Setup: - 1GB memory given to kvm (from host's 2GB) - Intel Core 2 6600 (kvm uses only one CPU) - CentOS 5 - 15GB qcow2 image on XFS filesystem - Zimbra 5.0 RC2 RHEL5 x86_64 - Dovecot latest hg,

Bug#452879: Logcheck doesn't ignore smbd_audit logs
Package: Logcheck Version: 1.2.54 Distro: Debian Etch (stable) Kernel: 2.6.18-5-686 #1 SMP I'm trying to force logcheck (reportlevel=server) to ignore smbd_audit logs. smbd_audit is a vfs module of samba. OVF (Open Virtual Machine Format) and XEN
Hi all, I already gathered some basic knowledge about XEN and VMware. Now I want to learn something about the new standard called OVF. Are there any ressources available like - how to get started with OVF and XEN - tools for creation XEN based VMs out of the OVF (VMware offers a ovf-tool) Thanks for you help Stefan -- Dipl.-Inform. [LLVMdev] clang compiles OpenLieroX
Heya, LLVM r102655 + clang r102825 compile OpenLieroX 31e0dac9 on MacOSX 10.5 and Linux! One small fix was needed in the MacOSX OpenAL alc.h system header: - typedef void ALCvoid; + #define ALCvoid void Because of this: /System/Library/Frameworks/OpenAL.framework/Headers/alc.h:182:68: error: empty parameter list defined with a typedef of 'void' not allowed in C++ ALC_API

One domain w/ multiple subnets. Do a "join" for each subnet?
We've got Samba 2.2.2 up and running fine on an RS/6000 (AIX) machine w/ NT authentication. We have one domain w/ multiple subnets, and need users on these different subnets to have access to the shares on this machine. We've tested from a different subnet than the one we originally ran smbpasswd on, and it fails (prompting for the passwd to the share...when it works fine from the
