Cross validation for Ordinary Kriging
ear ALL, The last part of my thesis analysis is the cross validation. Right now I am having difficulty using the cross validation of gstat. Below are my commands with the tsport_ace as the variable: nfold <- 3 part <- sample(1:nfold, 69, replace = TRUE) sel <- (part != 1) m.model <- x2[sel, ] m.valid <- x2[-sel, ] t<- fit.variogram(v,vgm(0.0437, "Exp", 26, 0)) cv69

write geotiff with projection - RGDAL package
Hi, Doing more search i've discovered package RGDAL that can write a geotiff file with projection. I saved a geotiff file in UTM projection and if i read the file back in R and check the projection seems that everything is OK. But if i load the file in ArcGIS (ESRI product) i get the warning that the file is missing spatial reference so it cannot be projected, but it is displayed correctly.

plotting x y z data from an irregular grid
Hi, I'm trying to plot some data (z) that is linked to lat&long coordinates (x&y). These coordinates are not however on a regular grid. I also have some shapefiles on which I would like to overlay the data. I can plot the shapefiles (country/city outlines) and overplot the data, but only using quilt.plot because I otherwise always get the error message that 'Error in

To Do list...
This is just portable todo list. From the sounds of it Markus has his own to do list. But can everyone review and let me know if there is anything missing from this list. (Note.. I'm not looking for 'SSH should support XYZ feature.' unless it's directly related to portability.) Or if there is anything on this list that has been completed. (Namely Tru64 SIA support?) Thanks.

Question about comment field for keys
The manual page for ssh-keygen says: "For RSA1 keys, there is also a comment field in the key file this is only for convenience to the user to help identify the key." It seems though that RSA2 and DSA keys also have comment fields, not just RSA1. Is this just an error in the documentation? Also the documentation says that only RSA1 key comments can be changed with ssh-keygen's

ssh -2 and hostbasedauth
Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to read OpenSSH's log files (to assist our people in diagnosing "why is it always asking me for passwords"). All clients and servers are 3.0p1. First: server does not have the client's RSA2 key in known_host. debug1: done: ssh_kex2. debug1: send SSH2_MSG_SERVICE_REQUEST debug1: service_accept: ssh-userauth debug1: got

import DTM with readRAST6()
Hello everybody, I am a new R & Grass user. I am interested in doing a kriging of the Temperature in a basin, based on pixel elevation (DTM). I use Grass 6.2.1 and R 2.5.1 and have installed the spgrass6 package. The DTM is called "DTM_trentino_100m" and is like this: north:5158000.0 south:5058500.0 east:1729700.0 west:1611600.0 rows:995 cols:1181 -9999.0 -9999.0 -9999.0

resistanceDistance representation
Dear all, i'm using gdistance to model animal movement across landscape. I have imported 11 rasters with roads, freeways, slope, use-of-land, lakes (...) after recoding them with GRASS with a HSI value ranging from 1 to 4. I've assigned zero to the NAs and then transformed all the rasters in TransitionLayers (function=mean,directions=4) and later summed all of them into a new transition:

Agent Forwarding Anomalies on OpenBSD 3.3/OpenSSH 3.6.1
I have a curious situation with four OpenBSD 3.3 hosts. Each of these has public/private keys on each other for inter-host authentication using RSA2 keys. For instance, they're called hostA-to-hostBCD, hostB-to-hostACD, hostC-to-hostABD, and hostD-to-hostABC. The sshd_config files, on each host, look as follows... #; #; /etc/ssh/sshd_config #; Port 22 Protocol 2 ListenAddress

problem moving hostkey from ssh version 3.5p1 to 3.8p
Hi, I am trying to upgrade from OpenSSH_3.5p1 FreeBSD 4.8 to OpenSSH_3.8p1 (Suse 9.1). Although the host rsa and dsa keys have been copied over from old to new machine, linux ssh clients (3.8p1) still bring up the new-key alert. ssh clients from freebsd machines till OpenSSH_3.6.1p1 work fine with the setup (without the new key alert) ssh -vv shows linux clients are looking for type 0 and type

> cobertura class : RasterLayer dimensions : 780, 1296, 1010880

new install of 5.1 with KVM-over-IP - can't install with GUI - need assistance
Hi All, I have several dozens of CentOS and WhiteBox servers. Most of them are CentOS 4.6. Our installation service is done in the datacenter where the servers are located. When we install a fresh clean install, we use the GUI menus, while using the KVMoverIP. That was working great with CentOS 4.x In CentOS 5.x, the installation process 'annonces" that "Hey,. OpenSSH forcing the signature to SHA1.
Hello folks, I am new here, so please be gentle :), and any help will be appreciated. Essentially what I am trying to do is, to use Jsch ( the java implementation of SSH client). it has support for Public key based authentication. Since there is a requirement for FIPS enablement, we are trying to use the Algorithm SHA256withRSA, instead of SHA1withRSA. When the code tries to verify the

[lattice] display a projected map on a layerplot
summary: I can display a lon-lat map on a lattice::layerplot, and I can display a Lambert conformal conic (LCC) map on a spam::image, but I can't display an LCC map on a lattice::layerplot. Example follows. What am I doing wrong? details: I've been using `lattice` (via `rasterVis`) successfully to display global atmospheric data, which works well enough (though I am definitely intrigued

With bounds checking patch for gcc-3.1 problems if using AES
Hello developers, some informations before I come to the problem: At work we're using Open-SSH 3.4p1 under Solaris 8. I compiled the Open-SSH by myself with gcc-3.1. In the gcc is the bounds checking patch included (http://web.inter.nl.net/hcc/Haj.Ten.Brugge/bounds-checking-gcc-3.1-1.01.patch.bz2). With this patch I compiled: - prngd 0.9.25 - zlib 1.1.4 - Open-SSL 0.9.6d Everything

sp: proj4string has no impact
Hi all, I'm faced with a problem applying the sp package: The projection argument in readShapePoly(Shapefile,proj4string="CRS class argument") e.g.: CRS("+proj=aea +lat_1=46 +lat_2=73 +lat_0=60 +lon_0=84 +x_0=0 +y_0=0 +ellps=clrk66 +units=m +no_defs") doesn't have any impact on the plotted object. I also tested the simple example: xy = cbind(x = 2 * runif(100) -
