fastcgi approach?
I''ve just had a problem with fastcgi killing processes off while they were running (I have a long-running background process)... but it took me a while to track it down and pinpoint that fastcgi was asking the process to quit. So i was thinking if it would be a good idea to tweak the way ruby-fastcgi handles this. At the moment, in fcgi.rb (part of the fcgi gem) there is

Radiant 0.5.2 - Bad Zip and Tgz Packages
I failed to package up the Zip and Tar correctly for Radiant 0.5.2. They each included Rails 1.1.5 instead of 1.1.6. I?ve repackaged the files and they should be ready for download as soon as they propagate to the appropriate servers: * http://rubyforge.org/frs/download.php/12493/radiant-0.5.2-2.tgz * http://rubyforge.org/frs/download.php/12494/radiant-0.5.2-2.zip Since Rails 1.1.5 has a

Popularity of R, SAS, SPSS, Stata...
Hi All, I've been fiddling around with various ways to estimate the popularity of R, SAS, SPSS, Stata, JMP, Minitab, Statistica, Systat, BMDP, S-PLUS, R-PLUS and Revolution R. It's not an easy task. You can see what I've come up with so far at http://r4stats.com/popularity . I'm sure people will have plenty of ideas on how to improve this, so please let me know what you think.

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] Patch for llvm::DepthFirstIterator.h and llvm::PostOrderIterator.h
Hi, I've done all the minor changes you recommended and have attached a new patch including both files again (even if po_iterator didn't change). However: Dan Gohman schrieb: > The plural of "child" is "children"; please rename this function > accordingly. after having my own dnsbl feeded by a honeypot and even mod_security supports it for webservers i think dovecot sould support the same to prevent dictionary attacks from known bad hosts, in our case that blacklist is 100% trustable and blocks before SMTP-Auth while normal RBL's are after SASL i admit that i am not a C/C++-programmer, but i think doing the DNS request and in case it has a

Introduce yourself and your project -- Round 2
On December 14th, 2004 David Heinemeier Hansson sent this to the mailing list: I''m seeing a lot of new names on the list. Could we perhaps do a round of introductions? That would also be a great first post, if you haven''t had a chance to contribute yet. The basics should include your name, your organization, your country and city, and the project you''re
