is there a packge or code to generate markov chains in R
Hi,
if i have data in the following time series format:
time, amount, state
1 2222 A
1 333 B
2 45 A
2 77 B
where states could be n and time periods t is there a package in R that would calculate the transition probabilities in a markov chain.

Problem reading a PDF output
I generated a PDF output file of 10 plots. When I try to view it with
Adobe reader (R4 & R5), it will lockup the reader (it is consuming 100% of
the CPU) after presenting the 4th plot. I can generate the plots just fine
in Windows and as a postscript file reading it with GSview.
Is there anyway to tell what might be wrong with the PDF output? The file
is 890KB in size if anyone would like

what''s correct way of shrinking LVM based domU?
Hi all
I want to shrink one of my LVM based domU''s, but don''t quite know how to
do it.
I have searched the Wiki & HOWTO''s, and they all show you how expand /
enlarge a LVM based domU, but not shrinking it.
So, I stopped (destroyed) the domU, and then resized it as follows:
