phyper returning zero
Hi,
I am attempting to use phyper to test the significance of two overlapping lists. I keep getting a zero and wondered if that was determining non-significance of my overlap or a p-value too small to calculate?
overlap = 524
lista = 2784
totalpop = 54675
listb = 1296
phyper(overlap, lista, totalpop, listb,lower.tail = FALSE, log.p=F)

Possible bug with scrambled messages on Win7-64bit using R2.12.0 (32/64 bit version)
When executing 'dyn.load("this/dll/does/not/exist.dll")' the resulting
error message is scrambled. Not all characters will be displayed and
when I select the empty region text disappears/reappears.
For a screenshot see:

Fix for xlsReadWrite 1.5.2 running in R2.12.0 (32-bit) on a Win7 64-bit platform
Argh, just now I saw a scrambled start-up message when running
xlsReadWrite1.5.2 in R2.12.0 (32-bit) on a Win7 64-bit platform. If
you have this situation and use xlsReadWrite 1.5.2 (probably all
earlier versions also) you can download a quick fix, see below. I
don't know if this also affects Vista/XP 64 bit. - Probably on the
weekend I'll have time to release a proper new 1.5.3 version.

seek() and gzfile() on 32-bit R2.12.0 in linux
I have installed both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of R2.12.0 (2010-06-15
r52300) on my Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit system. I observe the following behavior
when running the examples from base::connections. There appears to be a
problem with seek() on a .gz file when using a 32-bit installation of
R2.12.0, but the problem doesn't appear in the 64-bit installation. I
realize that seek() has been

Dovecot 1.0.7 domain variable
Hi all,
Thanks in advance for any help!
I'm trying to configure Dovecot to pull emails from Postfix virtual mailbox domain Maildirs under /var/mail/vhosts/<domain>/<username>. I've set mail_location as such in dovecot.conf:
mail_location = maildir:/var/mail/vhosts/%d/%n
but from debug output I see the domain is blank:

R 4.0.0 rebuild status
Thanks, Jos? and Elliott. I can help with reviews.
I attach here a list of batches of CRAN packages to be rebuilt in
order (batches separated by a blank line), and the script that
generates it. Hope it helps.

Dear R,
I would like to report what I think is a bug in R. I am running R
within emacs on a Digital AlphaStation. See the version information
at the end of my R session for details. I also attach a copy of the
file that is read in the `read.table' command.
Here's my R session, with a few

Anyone using ffmpeg as a source-client?
I'm just wondering if ffmpeg is a reliable Icecast source-client -- a
"pusher" to send a stream to an Icecast server and runs 24/7/365 dependably.

O2CB_HEARTBEAT_THRESHOLD won't take changes
Hello All,
I have multiple OCFS2 clusters on SLES10 SP2 running Xen. We needed to increase the O2CB_HEARTBEAT_THRESHOLD from 31 up to 61 and did so successfully on 2 of our 3 clusters.
However on one of the three clusters we are not able to change the value. The /etc/sysconfig/o2cb file contains 61 as the threshold after reconfiguring via /etc/init.d/o2cb configure, we reconfigure all 3 nodes at

Icecast install under Windows
Hi Marvin,
I followed the wiki instructions and they went w/o any issues until
C:\Users\username> nssm start Icecast
Can't open service!
OpenService(): Access is denied!
Probably a good idea to mention that the command window needs to be Run
as administrator. Then it works.
Many thanks!

Icecast install under Windows
Oh dear.
Okay, can anyone suggest how to install Icecast under Windows as a
service, and to be able to bring up some kind of console to start/stop it?
I can launch Icecast using the installed .bat file, but it's clunky.

Pathing syntax for icecast.xml in Windows
Marvin,
Ah, thank you for clarifying where "webroot" is.
The application here will be a non-public stream with one listener
client. Icecast is hosted on a computer at our radio station. It will
receive a stream from a stream client at a remote live music event.
There will be one listener: a media player running on another computer
on the network at the station which will send the

running .exe files from a Unix share without specifying .exe extension - is it possible ??
Hi gurus,
I have mapped drive V:\ on my win2k pro from a SAMBA share on a
Sparc/Solaris 2.8.
When I cd to v:\ and type the filename without specifying .exe after it, the
system cannot find it.
If I map V:\ from another share, this time a windows machine, this works
great. On local drives as well - windows assumes .exe extension and calls
the file.
This is not a path problem, as the executable

Icecast install under Windows
Ok. I installed icecast win_32 2.4.1 with no problem. The problems arrive when I try changing things...
Why are the folders for icecast write protected? I made changes to the icecast.xml file & tried saving it, but got errors saying the file is read only!
Then, I scanned the sub-folders in the download folder & found another icecast.xml file! I couldn't make changes that either!

[LLVMdev] Parsing C++ headers with Clang bindings for Python
I'd like to parse a C++ header file (say, math.h) with the Clang bindings
for Python. (Yes, I know math.h is technically a C header, but for my
purposes I want to pretend that it is C++.) For some reason, Clang is able
to parse the file as C, but not as C++.
Here is an example session:

Pathing syntax for icecast.xml in Windows
Hi Marvin, thank you.
Okay, then to be clear, "webroot" for the purposes of running Icecast
under Windows would be the same folder where icecast.xml is normally
found, i.e., C:\Program Files\icecast
And, if I read you correctly, suppose my normal mount coming from my
source client is called /example (it is an mp3 stream so I don't
specify the extension). If I place a file
