storage class 0 symbol is generated for a double constant in COFF-x86-64 object file
Hi Reid, Sure. Here I attach the trimmed IR(sim_0.ll) which llc.exe takes and produces a 0 storage class symbol. The IR is fairly long but there is only 1 usage of real constant as actual argument passing to function iki_vlog_time() at line 137. The version of llc.exe is $ llc.exe --version LLVM (http://llvm.org/): LLVM version 7.0.1 DEBUG build. Default target: x86_64-pc-win32 Host

decision/classification trees with fewer than 20 objects
Hi! I'm trying to construct and plot a decision tree to class a set of only 8 objects and tried to use the rpart and tree function, but get a error message both times: rpart: fit is not a tree, just a root tree: cannot plot singlenode tree I read in the post 'question regression trees' that rpart doesn't split a set of fewer than 20 objects...so I guess the same holds true for

storage class 0 symbol is generated for a double constant in COFF-x86-64 object file
Hi, I am using the llvm codegen facility (version 7.0.1) to translate LLVM IR for different platforms. I have this error particularly in win64 platform. In my IR code I have such code snippet: %50 = call i8* @my_function(i8* %48, double 2.000000e+00, double 2.000000e+00) ... declare dllimport i8* @my_function(i8*, double, double) By passing it to llc.exe, I find following symbol is declared in

question regarding to The tree Package for R
I have a problem with running the tree package (dec.8, 2001) for R. The problem is, it will only give me 5/6 terminal node and then stop, while using Splus's tree on the same data with the same specification give me hundreds of nodes. Here's a little more background info: R-1.4.1 Solaris 5.7 rpart (most recent version) tree (..) Splus 6.0 Solaris 5.7 tree

predict y tree

tree.control
Hi. I'm trying to get a tree, that fits all the lines of the training set ( a tree with no error in classification) data(iris) tree.control(150,mindev=3D-1,minsize=3D2) ir.tr <- tree(Species ~., iris) ir.tr summary(ir.tr) I'm trying to use this as a test, but it still have some examples that are classified wrongly... Anyone could tell me what's the problem?

Error in tree package
Hi. I'm using the tree package to fit one tree from a training set. I'm using the command: hm.tr <-tree(X1~.,teste2, mindev = 0, minsize = 2) and i get the error: Error in "row.names<-.data.frame"(*tmp*, value = fit$node[1:n]) : duplicate row.names are not allowed the frameset, has 180 columns and 16000 rows. tree and rpart
There have been various messages about packages tree and rpart whilst I have been travelling, and I have now prepared updates. tree ==== Tree is one of the oldest packages on CRAN (Feb 2000 apart from adding the maintainer field), and I had been hoping that it would fade away in favour of rpart. 1) sys.parent needed to be replaced by parent.frame in all but the most recent R (post 1.3.0).

predict y tree
> > > shuttle1 <- shuttle[254:256, ]  # 3 missing cases >

More elegant magnitude method
I have a need to find the order of number to get a scaling parameter as a power of 10. I have a function that works *so far*, but it is ugly and probably buggy. In the interest of avoiding code-based outliers in my data, I thought I would ask if anyone here has a better way. > scl <- function(x){ + length(charToRaw(format(trunc(x), scientific = F)))-1} > a <- 123456789 > b <-

rpart and TREE, can be the same?
Hi, all, I am wondering if it is possible to set parameters of 'rpart' and 'tree' such that they will produce the exact same tree? Thanks. Dear R Users, In the expresso function, which combination of these methods for data pre-processing (when using affymetrix oligo arrays) is the best: bgcorrect.metod = rma rma2 mas normalize.method = qspline quantiles loess pmcorrect.method = pmonly subtractmm mas summary.method = liwong avgdiff medianpolish mas There are many options within each method. Possible memory leak in loop.
I was trying to use memory.size() to determine whether a code loop I am executing created a memory leak, since one replicate of the simulation takes 670.98 seconds according to proc.time(), while 5 replicates takes 170762 seconds. So I set it up as: memA <- memory.size() looping code... memB <- memory.size() memA returns as 9.3, and memB returns 11.3. I'm not familiar with

(no subject)
I was wondering if there is a way to get read in a single keystroke at a time in R as a string, akin to ncurses-style interfaces. I looked into readLines, readChar, etc. using stdin, but these all require the use of an end of line. Has anyone ever had need to do this or have any ideas on how to do this? Thanks, Jon PS I apologize if this double-sends, but I am having mail client issues.

[LLVMdev] Using LLVM to build large projects
Hi @ll, I am using LLVM to build MySQL. It's OK when I use llvmc/llvm-gcc/llvm-g++ instead of gcc. However, such processing disabled interprocedural analysis that has to combine all bitcode files. My question is how to build MySQL with interprocedural analysis? I really don't like editing all Makefiles one by one. Is there any convenient approach? Thank you. Yao Shi --------------

lowess() won't handle NAs
Dear Masters, I'm driving crazy with the lowess() function.... my intent is smoothing confidence intervals for predicted y values in a linear model lm() setting since in the predict() function there exists an option for predicting NA values, I instead encounter problems when I fit a missing values x variable to the predicted terms.....,impossible task!!! I've been banging on my head

external R scripts
Is it possible to send data from an executing R script, to external R script files, on linux in this case, get that external R script to execute, and pass results back to the central script? If so what commands should I be looking at? I've googled for R and external, stuff like that but no luck. The reason for the question is that I need to generate simulation data, then perform several
