using if statment and loops to create data layout of recurrent events
Hi , I have a data set with recurrence time (up to four) of myocardial infarction (MI). Part of the file is showing below: Num1 Trt Sex Time T1 T2 T3 T4 1011 1 1 9 1211 0 1 59 3020 1 2 14 3 1245 0 1 18 12 16 3069 1 2 26 6 12 13 2051 0 1 53 3 15 46 51 The data consist of the following eight variables: Num1 , patient number Trt, treatment group (1=placebo and 2=drug) Sex,

Poisson Regression
Hello everyone, I wanted to ask if there is an R-package to fit the following Poisson regression model log(\lambda_{ijk}) = \phi_{i} + \alpha_{j} + \beta_{k} i=1,\cdots,N (subjects) j=0,1 (two levels) k=0,1 (two levels) treating the \phi_{i} as nuinsance parameters. Thank you very much -- -Tony [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Agreement and Consistency of 2D data
Hi, I have two different imaging modalities (for the identification of areas of infarcted myocardium) that I need to compare regarding agreement and consistency. However, I don't think that methods like Cohen's Kappa, PCC, Bland-Altmann or ICC are sufficient here as there is not just a pairwise but also a spatial relationship between measured data points. For example if the results of the

simple question beginner
  Hi there,   I am beginner in R and I have some basic question. Suppose I run a common procedure such as a t test or cox model like below:   out<-coxph( Surv(tstart,tstop, death1) ~ x1+x1:log(tstop+1) , test1,method=c("breslow"))    Which yields the following result:   Call: coxph(formula = Surv(tstart, tstop, death1) ~ x1 + x1:log(tstop +     1), data = test1, method =

Hi there, I have a rather large data set and perform the following cox model: test1 <- list(tstart,tstop,death1,chemo1,radio1,horm1) out1<-coxph( Surv(tstart, tstop, death1) ~ chemo1+chemo1:log(tstop+1)+horm1+horm1:log(tstop+1)+age1+grade1+grade1:log(tstop+1)+positive1+positive1:log(tstop+1)+size1+size1:log(tstop+1), test1) out1 Up to here everything works fine (with each covariate

Calculate R-Square for existing predictors
Hello everybody, in the past months I have developed a model to predict the mortality rate of Acute Myocardial Infarction Patients. My evaluation was mainly based on ROC Curves etc. I have now been asked to calculate the R-Square of my model, another existing model in regards to the actual mortality rate. So far I have only found a function calculating a regression, and then the R-Square of the

Survival Analysis
Hello, I have few questions about recurring events. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone can assist me. I have data that consist of approx 1,100 Consecutive patients released from hospital after first Myocardial infarction (MI). They were followed for 13 years. Recurrent MI and unstable angina pectoris (UAP) leading to hospitalization were recorded (within-subject range: 0-4 for recurrent MI;

Difficulty in writing R code for one pool dynamic model
Hi everyone, I was trying to mode the following exercise using R. The question: Set up a one pool model using numericintegration. The model will run from time 1 to time 30 using a time step of 1.The pool (A) will be fed by flux "inA" at a rate of 5 units per hour anddrained by flux "outA" at a rate of 20% per hour. At time 0, A has 5units. At time 30, what is the pool size of

Interaction plot glm?
Hi, I'm a beginner in both statistics and the usage of R. I have been stuck for days with a problem I hope somebody is willing to help me solving. I'm trying to create some kind of graphical plot etc. of my results of the following glm of interactions. I17<-glm(formula = response ~ var1+ var2 + var3 + var4 + var1:var3 + var1:var4, data = data) Is there any possibility to solve

How to stop Kaplan-Meier curve at a time point
Hello R users I have a question with Kaplan-Meier Curve with respect to my research. We have done a retrospective study on fillings in the tooth and their survival in relation to the many influencing factors. We had a long follow-up time (upto 8yrs for some variables). However, we decided to stop the analysis at the 6year follow up time, so that we can have uniform follow-up time for all the

sample size for recurrent events
Dear All, I'm a relative novice in R, with some experience with S-plus and quite a bit in SAS. In R and S-Plus, I've primarily worked with Frank Harrell's Design and Hmisc libraries. I have R 2.3.1 for windows (XP) installed. I have a project coming up in which the outcome will be recurrent events. There will be right censoring and likely to be a good stack of 0s on the left.
