asterisk cli - vi keybindings ?
This might sound lika a "small" issu, but here it goes: I'm a long time unix user and my shell history usage and editing is configured to use vi keybindings; it's something that's already built into my fingers and using different bindings, like the arrow keys to fetch previous lines, really blows me !... :-( Is there any way to setup the asterisk cli to use such

Command-line editing & history
Hi all, Are there any plans to add more functionality to command-line editing and history editing on the command line? In MATLAB (I know, comparisons are odious ...), you can type "p" and up-arrow on the command line and scroll through the recently entered commands beginning with "p". This is a very useful feature and something that I believe is not replicated in R. Please

rpm/yum/repo issue - Error: Package tuple could not be found in packagesack
Hi guys, I've been working on a yum repo for PHP 5.2 and today I wanted to update it[1], however on a test machine using my PHP packages (e.g. php-common-5.2.16-1nux) a yum update to the new RPMs with version 5.2.17 gives the following error: "Error: Package tuple ('php-common', 'i386', '0', '5.2.17', '1nux') could not be found in

ssh-1.2.2 freeze under Linux
After compiling and installing ssh-1.2.2 at home whenever I try to ssh to a host ssh freezes and never actually tries to establish a connection. Actually it depends on whether I'm dialed in or not (it has to do with dns lookups, I'm not sure exactly what it is doing). The problem seems to be caused by getaddrinfo in ssh.c, line 511. If I strace the process it keeps trying to connect to

Agreed regarding read line-- absent mindedly using C-c to exit a search and then accidentally running garbage because the prompt looks blank but isn't continues to be a problem. Re: Icecast Digest, Vol 35, Issue 1
I believe the load test documents state that the load tests were two test machines connected via a gigabit switch. In this sense there was no 'internet line' chokepoint: It was just machine A (server) and machine B (simulating many many listeners) both plugged into the same switch, for a straight through 1gig connection from machine A to B. In your case, with FIOS, I think the usual

samba pdc with ldap backend setup problems
Greetings... I'm struggling trying to set up a samba 3.0.23c PDC with ldap backend. The server is Fedora 5, OpenLdap version 2.3.19-4. I've got it so smbd and nmbd start properly and I can use a windows box and see the domain using srvmgr.exe and usrmgr.exe. I'm then able to signon from a windows XP computer with the command net use \\pdcserver\ipc$ /user:root rootpassword Some

Ctrl-Alt-F? bindings broken under xen 3.0.3-142.el5_9.1 / 2.6.18-348.1.1.el5xen?
I am not sure what I did, but for some reason Ctrl-Alt-F? bindings are broken on 64-bit xen desktop machine (but not on my laptop (32-bit, no xen)). Both machines are (mostly) up-to-date and running CentOS 5.9. I rarely hop to different Virtual Consoles (eg Ctrl-Alt-F1 ... Ctrl-Alt-F7), but today I wanted to go to the main console to watch some kernel verbage (I was checking something with

ubuntu packages patch
hi, For compiz ubuntu packages, I made some patchs to have a behavior of compiz nearer to metacity. All patch are made for compiz-0.3.6 and they are more hacks or draft than good fix, i hope they can help. http://gandalfn.club.fr/ubuntu/compiz-patch/90-fix-no-border-window-shadow.patch This patch fix white boxes instead of shadows for gnome-panel and other non-standard windows on AiGLX.

Dear R Devel, Sorry for sending so many emails, but I haven't heard that anyone is working on the patches I created. A few weeks ago I wanted to do something to contribute to R because I use it a lot. I picked the most annoying bugs I could find, and created two of the simplest patches I could create, but all I've had in response from the R core team (aside from briefly banning my

Get CONNECTEDLINE info from other Asterisk system via IAX2
I have been racking my brain attempting to get the remote callerid information for calls made to extensions on another Asterisk system connected via IAX2 but nothing has worked. To clarify, I would like to display the number AND name on the calling phone when calling extensions on another Asterisk system. I seem to be able to 'send' all the information I want to the system I am calling but
