speed up process
Dear users,
I have a double for loop that does exactly what I want, but is quite
slow. It is not so much with this simplified example, but IRL it is slow.
Can anyone help me improve it?
The data and code for foo_reg() are available at the end of the email; I
preferred going directly into the problematic part.
Here is the code (I tried to simplify it but I cannot do it too much or

[LLVMdev] int to StringRed conversion
I think the better solution should be:
LLVMContext& C = is->getContext();
Value *values[] = {
ConstantInt::getSigned(Type::getInt64Ty(C), *scsr*),
MDString::get(C, *"path"*)
};
lnstr.setMetadata(*"your_analysis_name"*, MDNode::get(C, values));
So that you can take advantage of the type system of LLVM bitcode, and
don't have to cast the integers from/to strings

[LLVMdev] int to StringRed conversion
The problem is that I want to pass only srsr which is an int. "marked" was
just an example :)
Thanks you!

Yes, it sounds good. I can try tomorrow.
Thank you for your advice !

scope of an argument in a function
Hi
I am trying to define a function fu() in the following way but when I try to
run I get the error that ma1 is not found. I am not sure where I am going
wrong? Does the scope of ma1 not extend to an expr.frame object?
expr.frame() is under library tradesys.
function (y,ma1,ma2)
{
x <- y[, c("Open","Close")]
d <- expr.frame(x, list(MAf=quote(SMA(Close, ma1)),

Question on entry exit tabulating in any R finance package
I asked the question in Rmetrics subforum, but for some reason, almost two
weeks later, it keeps saying I haven't been approved to post yet there.
I'll try again here on the open forum.
I wanted to have a script that tabulates results by trade. I.e. instead of
tabulating each day as a trade event, you enter on one date, exit another,
and simply tabulate metrics based on one trade period.

rsync dir-merge filter rule leaking outside its directory
Before I submit a bug report, perhaps the following has been seen
and dealt with before:
I found that it is possible for dir-merge filter rules to
inconsistently leak outside the directory where they are defined. This
happens when using --delete-after and -R and when asking for transfer
of a child of the directory where the filter rules are defined, with
an other transfer directory later on the

[LLVMdev] set of integers to metadata
Hello everyone,
I want to pass a set of integers using metadata but I don't know how. I
have tried:
the integers are in array[]

LLVMContext& C = is->getContext();
Value* values[size];
for(int gy=0;gy<size;gy++){
values[gy]=ConstantInt::getSigned(Type::getInt64Ty(C),array[gy]);
}
*is->setMetadata("path",MDNode::get(C,values));*
failes when setMetadata(),

[LLVMdev] int to StringRed conversion
Hello everyone,
I have an integer and I want to convert it to StringRef in order to set
metadata.
setMetadata->(StringRef, MDNode*);
It is there a native LLVM way to do it?
1. In the llvm::APSInt Class is toString() method, which seems it is not
for this purpose
2. itoa and string are not part of LLVM
3. stringstream is not part of LLVM
4. to_string is not part of LLVM
5. any casting method?

Fwd: Re: speed up process
Dear Jim,
Here is again exactly what I did and with the output of Rprof (with this
reduced dataset and with a simpler function, it is here much faster than
in real life).
Thanks you again for your help!
## CODE ##
mydata1<- structure(list(species = structure(1:8, .Label =

[LLVMdev] int to StringRed conversion
Hi,
I think you may try to use llvm::Twine(int). For example, to convert 30
to string, you can use:
Twine(30).str()
To convert the string back to integer, you can try the
StringRef::getAsInteger(unsigned, APInt &). For example:
APInt i;
str.getAsInteger(/*radix=*/ 10, /*output=*/ i);
Sincerely,
Logan

At least you don't ask if everyone is a bot on this mailing-list and
come right to the point. Thanks for that.
