Rails setup for multi-user environment?
Is there a way to set up rails on a shared server so that multiple
developers don''t each have to install their own copies? We''ve got an
(internal) shared-hosting server to which I want to add rails, but I''m
not even sure it''s possible, much less how to do it.
Basic scenario (machines are Linux):
1 - scripting server, serves PHP and perl via Apache.

Using the unpacked source, I installed by ./tools/wineinstall per the

Doubt on usage of rsync for chown of existing folders
Hi
I would like to have changes (chown) in the destination.
However, some files did not changed size or rights. All files should have new owner.
Thanks,
Regards,CJ

Dovecot Oy merger with Open-Xchange AG
I find it extremely interesting that no one has commented on the merger
of Dovecot Oy and Open-Xchange AG as announced by Timo on the 19th. Is
this something that was known a long time ago and I missed? OK checked
the on-line archive of the mailing list, no comments there - its not my
email set-up - LOL.
I am usually emotionally (at least) against of open-source projects

A Suggestion for Strikethrough Syntax
All,
Hopefully, I'm not covering old territory, and a search of the list
archives seems to indicate that I'm not. If I am, then I extend my
apologies in advance.
I use strikethrough a lot so I modify my Movable Type Markdown module
as shown below, right about line 1040 or so. I assume other Markdown
implementations can use this change as well:

Request for Proposal: On-Site Rails Training
Don''t let the bureaucratic aspects of this RFP bother you: we''re eager
to find and work with a good trainer to get our developers up to speed
on RoR, and there''s a possibility of a paid Rails-evangelist gig as
well. If that sounds like something you would be interested in and
qualified for, I hope you will get in touch with us and submit a
proposal. --Chris

Doubt on usage of rsync for chown of existing folders
Hi Kevin,
Thank you very much. I changed my user in the remote machine (su).
Then, by trying again with rsync but with no modification in the source folder, I see that file ownership continues the same.
Would be possible for rsync to change the ownership in this case (I am not root) ?
Thanks,
Regards,CJ

Dovecot Oy merger with Open-Xchange AG
I think everyone shares your concerns. But there are no rules that the
outcome of this merger must get something bad, so let's see what
happens. I hope that it's true what Timo said and that dovecot can
evolve and get even better as it is today. Good luck guys!
Regards, Adrian.
