function rep
Hi,
I've got the following code:
p <- 0.34
pb <- p*100
pr <- (1-p)*100
A <- rep(0,pb) # a vector with 34 "zeros"
B <- rep(1,pr) # a vector with 66 "ones"
Now if I type
length(A), R answer correctly 34
but if I type
length(B), R answer 65 instead of 66.
I don't understand why it happens. Can anyone help me? Thanks in
advance.

Hi,
I'm a beginner of R.
I find it absoluty fantastic, flexible and very extensible.
For the moment only a curiosity.. Why the name R? (are they perhaps the
initials of Robert Gentleman and Ross Ihaka?, or is the name correlated with
S language?)
Sorry for my poor question but I am very curious
Thank in advance

[PATCH V2 4/4] x86: correctly detect hypervisor
We try to handle the hypervisor compatibility mode by detecting hypervisor
through a specific order. This is not robust, since hypervisors may implement
each others features.
This patch tries to handle this situation by always choosing the last one in the
CPUID leaves. This is done by letting .detect() returns a priority instead of
true/false and just re-using the CPUID leaf where the signature

Syslinux and USB support
Hi,
I'm writing as I'm an happy user of syslinux/isolinux(pxelinux, as it
has kade booting from floppy/hd/cd simple and reliable...
(I've looked the tons of workaround developers had to develop to
circumvent bugs BIOS bug in isolinux....)
I think that next frontier for syslinux should be USB booting: it
already works, but here also there are a lot of BIOS problem that a

A place to put common partial templates and RJS files?
Greetings,
I have a partial template file (acutally, it is an RJS file but the
same principle is in question here) which I wish to "share" between
multiple controllers. Does anyone know where in the directory tree I
would put these files in order that I can access them from multiple
controllers in the same app? I really would prefer not having to copy
them all into all of the

p-value
Dear R User,
say I have this sample of data ( attach with). What i'm going to do is to test whether this data is uniformly distributed or not by finding the p-value. I've tried using the punif command but it gave me the value of 1 of all the data. Any suggestion on R command to find the p-value??Thanks in advance!!

why can't johnny download?
I''m working on an app that includes the feature to allow user to
download a csv file of their data.
I''ve got it working on my local machine, but when I deploy it, the link
I''m making doesn''t work for doing the download. The file IS being
created in the location I''m intending, but the file download only works
on my local machine and not on the server.
