Placing the legend 'dynamically'
Hello,
does anybody know which command to consider when I'm trying to plot a
stacked barplot with a legend at the most empty portion of the graphic?
I've searched for it, and somebody stated to use the labcurve-command,
but I don't know how to produce stacked barplots with it.
Is there any possibility to plot a legend box "dynamically" (= in an
empty region) with the

samba4 AD controller, production
Hello, list,
Anyone running a recent version of samba4 as the only one AD controller in the domain, *in production*? If so, what is your overall experience?
I am going to make such an install for a site with some 50 users (and frankly speaking, I am frightened ... so give me some courage!)
Would you recommend me to go ahead and do it? Latest release?
Any feedback is more that appreciated

best editor for .R files
Which is the best editor for .R files?
I currently use kate on my linux as it has R highlighting and allows me to
split the window into two: in one I edit the .R file and in the other I have
a shell so I run R and can easily copy and paste the code. There are some
features that I don't like and I am having a look on some alternatives.
I've heard wonders of emacs with ess but I am a

Printing 2 digits after decimal point
Hi there,
i'm not getting along with the following problem.
I'd like to print a real number, e.g.
x <- 12.3
with exactly two digits after the decimal point, e.g.
12.30
I've tried the whole format(), formatC() and prettyNum() functions but
did not have any success with it.
This should work with all real numbers, in case even with 0.0 (-> 0.00).
For cracks this thing is pretty

Ctrl+C in R will terminate the child process which is spawned by using "pipe"
Hi, all,
I pressed Ctrl+C in R process, and found that the child process which was
spawned by using "pipe" is terminated due to this.
Are there any way to work around it, so that the child process can run
happily without being terminated? Or can we block the signal for the child
process?
1. I used pipe to spawn one C++ process, which will running in a loop
without exiting immediately.

R socket communication
Hello, I tried to code a R socket server but I did not succeed.
The problem is that once the R socket server is created,
I call the readLines function and then R gets blocked.
The client seems to work fine since I tested it with a PERL server.
I tried many combination of params in the socketConnection but
none of them worked.
I have seen some examples where the server sends something to a
client

Write to multiple connections or multiple text files
Hi all,
I want to modify a large number of text files (ca 4000) by replacing a
value found on a particular line in them with a value from an R object.
For a single file I would normally use:
con<-file ("foo.txt", open="r+")
content<-readLines(con)
content[n]<-"test"
writeLines(content,con)
close(con)
For repeating this for several files I can

That's a ssh client implemented in chromium, not a web server acting as
sshd. However...
?Secure Shell also knows how to connect to an HTTP-to-ssh relay that was
built inside Google. Unfortunately
that relay isn't open source,

Generating a PDF using popen and wkhtmltopdf
As described on wkhtmltopdf Google group
(http://code.google.com/p/wkhtmltopdf/issues/detail?id=162), I have a
problem generating a PDF while using popen and wkhtmltopdf.
wkhtmltopdf takes HTML code as input and ouputs a PDF file. Here is what
I''m doing:
command = ''"C:\Program Files\wkhtmltopdf\wkhtmltopdf.exe" - - -q''

modify only, not deletable
Hi folks,
I have a samba file server joining a Windows 2k AD as member server.
I wonder how I can setup the files on the samba share to be modifiable
by users, but no one can delete them. Is it possible? linux chattr
command doesn't seems to help, and I can only setup windows share
permission (full control, read, write) for the samba files from windows
interface, not NTFS detailed permissions.

Two-node cluster often hanging in o2hb/jdb2
Hi,
I'm pretty new to ocfs2 and a bit stuck. I have two Debian/Squeeze
(testing) machines accessing an ocfs2 filesystem over aoe. The
filesystem sits on an lvm2 volume, but I guess that is irrelevant.
Even when mostly idle, everything accessing the cluster sometimes hangs
for about 20 seconds. This happens rather frequently, say every 5
minutes, but the interval seems irregular while the

Fw: a bit frightened, guys
Hi,
I believe the issues raised by this message are the same as mine, more on a commercial sense than for self use, but mostly the same. I've seen posts where real-life installations are mentioned, but not a reference to how Asterisk is working on production (and productive) environments.
Any experiences would be very welcome I believe, not only on pure technical, but wider, sense.
Thanks

R strange behaviour when working with fifos
I'm trying to establish a connection to a pair of fifos in R, one represents
the input stream of a process and the other one the output of the same
process. The problem is that R behaves very different when running the
commands directly in the interpreter than when running via a script file.
Here is the script

Dovecot 2.0.2 breakes LMTP delivery for me
Hi,
I'm onboard Debian Lenny (amd64) and just reverted from 2.0.2-0~auto+4 back
to 2.0.1-0~auto+1 because LMTP stopped working completly with the above
Package.
In my setup delivery is done from exim via LMTP to dovecot (Maildir/ext3).
The lmtp dovecot config looks like this:

> user = vmail

another yum question
Hello centos community,
I have a personal repository with self-made RPMs, and i need to include
this repository to yum.conf. But i've noticed that yum configuration is
overwritten when yum is updated. I can't update yum.conf manually on
my servers each time yum is updated ...
Is anyone have an idea ?
Thank you.
