Problems when using libFLAC to encode 24 bit content
Hi everybody, We have FLAC supported for input/output in REAPER (http://www.reaper.fm), and the problem is that when writing 24 bit FLAC files, the data isn't compressed (i.e. the FLAC is slightly larger than if it was writing to .WAV). The files play back fine, however, and 16 bit mode works great. We're using flac-1.1.2, built on win32 with MSVC6 w/ SP5 + VCPP, and NASM version 0.98.39

reexpand a matrix after subsetting
Hi, suppose I have a matrix (or dataframe) as a result from subsetting. mat <- matrix(1:20,ncol=2) mat[c(3,6,9),] <- NA cc <- complete.cases(mat) sub <- mat[cc,,drop=FALSE] sub <- sub * 2 #some caluculations with sub. now I would like to expand sub somehow so row 3,6, and 9 would be filled with NAs but the rest should be in place again. Is there a simple function for this?

create matrix from comparing two vectors
hi all, sorry for this basic question, I think I know I should use ?apply, but it is really confusing me... I want to create a matrix by comparing two vectors. Eg: test<-seq(1:10) fac<-c(3,6,9) and i want to end up with a 10*3 matrix with a boolean that tests if test<fac, so something like: 1 1 1 1 1 1 0 1 1 0 1 1 0 1 1 0 0 1 0 0 1 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 I can't find the solution

Hi all, I'm learning R. I'm used to Matlab and am having the following issue: I define a column vector and matrix and then multiply them. The result is not what I expect: v2 <- c(0,1,0) M <- cbind(c(1,4,7),c(2,5,8),c(3,6,9)) M*v2 [,1] [,2] [,3] [1,] 0 0 0 [2,] 4 5 6 [3,] 0 0 0 I expect the result to be a column, specifically the 2nd column of M.

Newbie hung up with matrices
Hi all: Thanks in advance for your assistance. I just started learning R. I'm trying to use the Help and the downloadable manuals. I am stuck on trying to multiply matrices. Can anyone please supply a couple of lines of code that I can plug into a fresh console to see how a double precision (1x3) matrix is multiplied by a double precision (3x3) matrix?
