How to draw a border for multiple graphs in one pager
Hi,
I
am struggling to create a 2 by 2 multiple graphs in one page. I used
par(mfrow=c(2,2)) to divide the screen into 4. In each screen I draw a pie chart (They are all same).
For example, my data is like this
Concentration value
A1 69
A2 8
G1 51
G2 1

Question about "Title"
Hi,
I want to produce a pie chart with titles. I used the following code. So it created a pie chart for the percentage of the score for ID="002".
ID <-
c("001","001","002","002","002","003","003","003","004","004","005","005","006")

wrong labels and colors of points in graph/plot
Hi there,
I trying to solve this problem for the whole day not going anywhere,
so I really hope maybe somebody can help
me in this community...
I've got an object coefficient2 which I want to plot in differerent
ways, with colors and labels added to the points,
but somehow there seems to be a problem if a value is NA within the
independent variable, resulting in false labels and false colors

whishlist: legend - changing color of the boxes-border
Hi,
Drawing a legend I would like to be able to specify the color of boxes which are drawn if fill or density is specified.
eg.
legend(0,40000,c("raw","LR/PR-TPS"),fill=c(1,2),col=c(1,2),density=c(20,20),angle=c(-20,45),bty="n")
Currently the color of the boxes -- border is always black and can *not* be changed. To get this option only a *minimal* change is

ordering of additional columns in forest plot in meta package
Hi,
I am trying to add additional columns to a forest plot using the meta package.
The study information and subgroup analysis plotting is handled properly.
For this output the data is ordered first by subgroup label
(rnd.subgroup1 in the example) and second decreasing size of totals
('n' in the example).
The proper ordering of this data is confirmed by the color coding

Extra lines when bty="n" (PR#1021)
Full_Name: Claus Ekstrøm
Version: 1.2.0
OS: Linux (RedHat 7.1)
Submission from: (NULL) (212.54.75.68)
For some reason two extra lines keep appearing
when making graphics with no box, bty="n" (a vertical line
along the leftmost side of the graphics region and a horizonal
line along the bottom side). The lines are very visible if the
plot is saved as a postscript file and is later

legend() graphics output bug (PR#5725)
Full_Name: Daniel Gasser
Version: 1.8.1
OS: Win XP
Submission from: (NULL) (130.60.20.92)
The legend()-Function shows a different behaviour than it did in Version 1.6.1.
It plots a black box left of the legend lines on each legend row. In 1.6.1 there
was just the line in appropriate color for each row in the legend (i was using
exactly the same legend statement and same plot function).

change the type of lines and colours in interaction.plot
Dear all,
I want to plot 8 chemical variables in the same plot. I have used the interaction.plot command:
> interaction.plot(speclong$Date,speclong$time2,speclong$outcome,xaxt="n",type="l",pch=20,xlab="", log="y", ylab="Concentration (ug/L)",trace.label="",col=rainbow(8))
However, what it gives me is dotted lines and the colours are

line width in legend of interaction.plot
Dear R developers,
The following command produces an interaction plot with lwd=2.
interaction.plot(c(1, 2, 1, 2), c(1, 1, 2, 2), 1:4, lwd=2)
In the legend, however, lwd seems to be 1, which does not seem
to be intended behavior. Probably the lwd is not correctly forwarded
to legend:
from the interaction.plot source:
legend(xleg, yleg, legend = ylabs, col = col, pch = if (type %in%

Crop white border for PDF output
Hi,
I produce a series of diagrams with R in order to include them in my
documents (LaTeX). However, there is a white border around the diagrams.
For some that do not have anything written at the very bottom, the white
border is relatively large. The rather big space between figure and
caption at the final document looks not nice.
It would be best not to have any white border. I played with

overlap cdf plots and add colors and etc
Hi r-users,
I would like to overlap 2 ecdf plots.
I tried this below and it gives me two plots of ecdf but just both just in
black.
par(mar=c(4,4,2,1.2),oma=c(0,0,0,0),xaxs="i", yaxs="i")
plot(ecdf(datobs))
lines(ecdf(gam_sum_gen))
Then I try to add colors etc and also the legend but fail.
par(mar=c(4,4,2,1.2),oma=c(0,0,0,0),xaxs="i", yaxs="i")

Misunderstanding with lines (or elsewhere)
Misunderstanding with lines(...) :

I would like the y coordinate of the horizontal line to be 1/4,
and also the line to begin at x=0 and end at y=1.
I'm obviously missing something
... so if anybody could help.
Many thanks.

overlap histogram and density
Hi,
Does anybody encounter the same problem when we overlap histogram and density
that the density line seem to shift to the right a little bit?
If you do have the same problem, what should we do to correct that?
Thank you.

Wishlist: specify the border color of boxes in legend() (PR#13913)
I could not find a way to specify the border color of the boxes drawn in
a legend, so that the legend can match exactly the colors of the actual
plot (e.g. in the case of two superimposed histograms which have
different shading and different borders).
Indeed, the legend function seems to hard code the color "black" for the
borders in this call:

axes
Hello there,
Is there a functionality or command that generates axes in the shape of a capital Greek letter gamma (upside down L) ? I use these for making sediment profiles. I have read through help-lists, tried different things and asked several people but never got a satisfactory result.
I've tried the following:
xx <- c(2,4,6,5.8,5,4,3,1.5,0, 0, 0, 0)
yy <- (0:-11)

Assigning factor names to interaction plot

I have the following problem:
I have three variables, 'group', 'city' and 'pressure'
There is an interaction effect between group and city and I'd like to show
this in an interaction plot:

col= c(1:2),
