Rubricks - CMS on Rails
Hi list,
I made an open source CMS powered by Rails, named Rubricks.
I have a web page for Rubricks.
You can download it or view a flash demo there.
Please try them and feed me back, like bug report etc.
Check it out at:

rake test_units not loading any fixtures
Hello All,
If I run my unit tests individually using Ruby, they all work correctly.
However, if I try to run them using "rake test_units", I get a bunch of
error messages.
The error messages appear to be caused by rake not loading any of the
fixtures into the test database.
I am using PostgreSQL on Windows.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Many thanks,
Bruce.

in-memory SQLite for testing
I am following the rails book, and arrived to the section about
testing. The test database is configured as:

and I get this error with the simple product test:

Boolean circles..
Hi,
This is just kindof a RoR question, but since you all potentially do
the same things as I do, I thought I''ll ask here..
Im trying to use the boolean type in the database. Migrations is no
problem, it even converts the 0/1 values from my import CSV to false
and true.
However, I cannot make the :conditions part of a find work:

Anyone got Globalize working???
Hi all
In another thread I complain about an error I get after trying to get
Globalize working.
http://www.ruby-forum.com/topic/51988#new
Now I want to ask you, if anybody of you has ever got Globalize working?
I have done exactly what''s written in the (absolutely much too short)
tutorial of its wiki...

Rake vs Ruby for running tests (error discrepency)
I''m having (to me) a strange problem with errors when running my tests
with rake as opposed to using ruby. If I do rake test:units I get this
error for several tests, but not all:

SQLite concurrency, SQLite3::BusyException
I am currently experiencing concurrency issues after moving from MySQL
to SQLite.
My original program worked fined using MySQL but is now returning
"SQLite3::BusyException" errors. The same result happens whether or
not I enable the allow_concurrency flag.
If I do manually acquire a lock on the SQLite DB the problem would
disapear, but I thought that rails was supposed to handle this

Manually loading fixture data
Hi all,
I''ve got some tables with fixed amounts of data in them (a "states"
table, for example). For tables like this I can easily put *all* of the
data in the fixture.
For general futzing purposes, and for those times I want to reload a
database from scratch outside of testing (for whatever reason), what''s
the best approach? I thought perhaps ActiveRecord::Base had

I''ve got a strange issue. My default unit tests are failing for two models. I

Unit test is failing when I am using SQLite
Hi,
There seems to be an issue with SQLite adapter. Any idea what is causing
it?
document_test.rb contains default scaffold and works fine with MySQL but
fails with SQLite. Other unit tests work fine with either DB.

Sqlite3, in-memory db and rspec_server
Hi everyone.
I can''t get the above(subject line) combination to work. If I use a
standard sqlite3 file db for the test db, and spec_server all the
specs on my models pass. If I use an in-memory db for the test db,
script/spec w/o spec_server, they all pass. But if I use in-memory and

Creating performance test fixtures from development db? How?
Hi all!
I''m looking into the testing chapter of Agile Web Development With Rails
(2nd ed.).
I want to performance test my app, but I''m too lazy to write fixtures for
performance test.
I''d rather use the data from my development db (because the data is so close
to the production data).
How do I get the data into the test db without writing fixtures?
Could you please
