Salted hash login generator (verification problem?)
Hi all,
I hope someone can help with what is probably a simple newb
installation mistake on my part. I''m having a couple of problems with
the salted hash login generator. I installed it following the
quickstart guide, and the unit tests work like a charm. There are two
errors and a failure on the function tests, though; the verified field
seems to be involved in at least one of

Salted Login Generator issues
Hello all,
I''ve just installed and begun to integrate the salted login generator.
So far I''m very impressed, though I''ve hit a few snags along the way.
Unfortunately, I''ve met the first one that I haven''t been able to
resolve on my own.
When I hit the login action, I get errors in my log files. The specific
error with trace is included below.

assert_response :redirect
assert_session_has :user

Here is the failure I''m getting when I run my tests.

get the values out from the development.rb by using some

Functional test and flash with an error
I''m getting this error thats moaning about expected tag, but no tag
found matching {:content=>"User James Apps was successfully created.",
:attributes=>{:id=>"notice"}, :tag=>"div"} in the file application.rb.
I tried using a regular expression - /#{user.first_name}/ , but that
wouldn''t work either

assert_redirected_to not recognizing routes
I''m getting a weird error in a call to assert_redirected_to in one of
my functional tests. Here is the test:
def test_signin

post :signin, {:login => admin.email, :realpass => @password}
assert_redirected_to :action => ''list'' # failure happens on this line
assert_equal admin.id, session[:user].id

unit test failing
I have unit tests set up with "self.use_transactional_fixtures =
true", so each test should roll back.
Run individually, all my tests succeed. But running "rake
test:units", I get the below error in 5 test cases. I''m not sure how
to solve this since I''m not sure how to debug tasks run thru rake. Any
ideas are appreciated.

undefined method `use_transactional_fixtures=''

I checked my test_helper.rb and it has
self.use_transactional_fixtures = true
My code was generated with 1.1.2 and I''m using 1.1.3 right now after

I googled for this issue and it appears that a require is missing or

Consistent testing with methods that depend on Date.today
Hi everyone
I''m building an app in which quite a bit of data is dependant on dates
(and times), and I have logic that depends on when ''today'' is. I''m
trying to get some better functional tests written, and am unsure of
the best way to approach it.
The problem is that I want the tests to run against the same data
every time, whether I run it on Tuesday or

rake error - please help
Hi-
I''m suddenly getting this rake error where as before I wasn''t. And
nothing''s been changed. As you can see it says something about
"load_missing_constant". Is my development environment broken? Can
someone please tell me what this error means?:

post() to other controller in functional test?
In a functional test, I want to call an action in another controller
(a login) before testing things in the current controller. As far as I
can tell from the extremely sparse documentation and the AWDR book,
this seems to be impossible. The post() functions takes an action
argument only, and that''s that. Surely I must be misunderstanding
things?
