twoord.plot y lab size
I am using twoord.plot and my Y axis units on the left y overlap. I tried
using cex.axis in my par command but that only adjusted the x units, not the
y. cex.axis in twoord.plot did not help. How do I adjust Y units in the
twoord.plot?
example:
twoord.plot (lx=myear, ly=z, rx=myear, ry=sta,xlim=c(1985,2010),
xlab="Year",ylab="Individuals",
rylab="# Stations")

Installing Neverhood on wine 2002.10.07
Hi:
I'm attempting to run "The Neverhood" on FreeBSD/wine-2002.10.07 no windows
config, which, according to the application DB, should work.
When I run the setup95.exe program the Neverhood installer screen, and when I
hit "INSTALL" I get:

Superscript followed by number then superscript in text
Hi all,
I'm having problems finding the correct format for a command.
I would like to write some text on a plot.
I'm using the following command:
text(x,y,"text here", srt=90)
I would like the text to read:
capacity 10^3 m^3
(with ^ denoting superscript (i.e. each '3' as superscript).
I've tried fiddling around with expression(paste(etc.... to no avail. I

How to write "%" before superscript?
I would like to write atom% 15N in the ylab of a plot - "15" should be
written as superscript. How do I put "%" into the expression? It does
not work if I type "%" directly after "atom" in the expression below.
plot(1:10, ylab = expression(atom^15*N))

another superscript problem
I've exceeded the maximum time I am willing to accept for solving simple
problems so I thank all in advance for your assistance.
I am trying to plot text combined with an object value and a superscript.
obv = 5
text = "Population mean ="
ss = ^o # degrees
Something like this (very naive so you get the idea):
expression(text, obv, ss)
paste(text, obv) # works ...but of course I

superscript text style in axis label in graph
Hi all,
I'd like to use superscript or subscript in the axis label of a graph. Is
that possible in R?
For instance in xlab="Ce (mmol/m3)", I'd need the "3" of cubic meter in
superscript.
Regards/Cordialement

superscript
Hi there,
How can I superscript the "2" of "r2 =..." in the legend below?
legend(210, 110, paste("r2 = ",
format(summary(regression)$adj.r.squared,digits=3), sep=""))
I usually use "expression(paste(...", but it won't work this time because
"format(summary(..." needs to be evaluated.
Thanks in advance!

Superscript text in axis labels
Hello,
I am guessing this is not a difficult question. But at the same time, I
haven't had much luck figuring this issue out from the R documentation and
help pages.
How can I create superscript text in the labels of a plot? The parameter
along my y-axis is volume and my desire is for the y-axis label to read
"Volume (cm^3)" except with the "3" in the superscript

I tried the command below, but it doesn't work. What am I missing?

superscript
Dear R-users.
I'm struggeling to fix the superscript of a label of a figure axis. For some reason R doesn't recognize the "hat" symbol.
plot(1,1,xlab="ligth intensity (PAR)",ylab=expression("mass Pteridium rhizomes" (gr/0.25m^2)))
A very similiar scriptline does not give any problem at all:
plot(1,1,xlab=expression("balsa plot basal

Plotmath issue superscript "-"
Dear List,
I'm trying to typeset some chemical ions in axis labels. These have both
super and subscript components, and for some, I need a superscript "-".
In LaTeX I might use $NO_3^-$ to do the typesetting, but I'm having a
problem getting the correct invocation for expression:

Boxplot superscript y-axis

I need to include in a superscript number (-1) in a y-axis label of a
boxplot graphic. I tried the following line:

ylab=substitute(paste("DGL growth (cm.yr"^{-1},")")))
It returns the following error message:

Complex superscript plot text
Hi all:
I would like to create a line of plot margin text (using mtext() ) that
features both a superscript and a subset of an object. However, I
cannot seem to do both things at once, nor have I found a way to paste
the two results together.
(I pull the object subset because this is part of a for-next loop to
make multiple graphs)
This example doesn't give me what I want from mtext():

Superscript in y-axis of plot
Dear all,
I've been trying to superscript the '2' in the following command (I don't want the '^' displayed), but as yet haven't had much luck. I've tried both the paste and expression commands, but neither have brought me any joy!
mtext(side=2, line=5.5, "Monthly Precipitation (mm x 10^2/month)", font=2, cex=1.1)
Any advice would be much appreciated,
