how to "multiply" list of matrices by list of vectors
Hi everyone, I'd like to be able to apply lda to each 2D matrix slice of a 3D array, and then use the scalings to obtain the corresponding lda scores. I can use 'apply' to get a list of the lda output for each 2D slice, and can create a list of the resulting scalings, but I'm not sure how to multiply them in a vectorized way. Here's how I made a list of 2D matrices

Composing two n-dimensional arrays into one n+1-dimensional array
If I have 2 n-dimensional arrays, how do I compose them into a n+1-dimension array? Is there a standard R function that's something like the following, but that gives clean errors, handles all the edge cases, etc. abind <- function(a,b) structure( c(a,b), dim = c(dim(a), 2) ) m1 <- array(1:6,c(2,3)) m2 <- m1 + 10 abind(m1,m2) ==> , , 1 [,1] [,2] [,3] [1,] 1 3 5

Problem with Winbind and Windows Clients
Ok, next test. Change : kerberos method = secrets and keytab to kerberos method = secrets and wait again. I'll explain by giving this link. http://changelogs.ubuntu.com/changelogs/pool/main/s/samba/samba_4.3.6+dfsg-1ubuntu1/changelog Look at the last line bugfix in this change log of 4.3.6. Im testing here also, because this looks like its also involves the kerberos changes, now, i

P-value from the joint cumulative distribution of an n-dimensional order statistic
Hello, I want to compute the P-value from the joint cumulative distribution of an n-dimensional order statistic in R, using the formula found on http://cmgm.stanford.edu/%7Ekimlab/multiplespecies/Supplement/methods_network.html My data consists of three different techniques (G2D, POCUS and RANDOM), and each has associated with it a number of rankings (integer between 0 and 1000), like for

n-dimensional vector operations
Let's start with a concrete case of n=3 dimensions. Along dimension x, I have a matrix of 5 vectors (each with ten rows) Along dimension y, I have a matrix of 3 vectors (each with ten rows) Along dimension z, I have a matrix of 2 vectors (each with ten rows) I am trying to write a: function(..., funcp) { } where funcp(...) is an operator which works on n vectors and returns a numeric.

N-dimensional delaunay tesselation & voronoi diagrams
Hi, I've been looking for functions that can do delaunay tesselation and generate voronoi cells. I came across deldir and tripack but both seem to be restricted to 2D points. Are there any packages that can do a tesselation in N dimensions? I know that Matlab and Mathematica use the qhull package to provide functions for this. Does anybody know of any R packages that do this (maybe by calling

I was used wiki article and there was listed for DC. the config i have post was only für vl0227 (my Master DC) all other Maschines have the config you prefer. Problem with Winbind and Windows Clients
Ah..   So every 5 days this happens, correct ? Solution, reboot your pc every 4.99999999 days.    This way its gets a new ticket and isnt the old reused.   As it stats on the site,. " tickets can be renewed for a maximum of 5 days from the date of original issue."     Greetz,   Louis       > -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- > Van: samba [mailto:samba-bounces

Problem with Winbind and Windows Clients
Hi, i have a permanent problem with my samba members. there lost after some times his connections to DCs and i need to restart winbind. Also same problem with winds client that running 24x7. After few days i can not logged in. i think thats a problem with kerberos tickets. i have checks samba logs and found that samba member and windows client ask for new tickets and get new expiration. in my

How to create a high-dimensional matrix
Hi, everyone I need to create a 429497 x 429497 matrix. When I use *matrix(0,429497,429497)* I got the error information : Error in matrix(0, 429497, 429497) : too many elements specified Then I use "ff" package, try to store this matrix on disk * x<-ff(0,dim=c(429497,429497)* And I got the error information : Error in if (length < 0 || length > .Machine$integer.max)

3 dimensional matrix??
Perhaps this is obvious...but is there anyway to create a matrix like object with has more than 2 dimensions. I want to estimate a bunch of var/cov matrices inside an index loop. It would be more computationally efficient to do this in C...but R makes many of the operations inside the loop really easy! Multiple matrix multiplication with two 3-dimensional arrays
Hi, I need to do several matrix multiplications with the corresponding matrices forming two 3-dimentional arrays. To illustrate my problem, let's say I have the following 3-dimensional arrays: array1 <- array(1:30,dim=c(3,2,5)) array2 <- array(1:20,dim=c(2,2,5)) I know that I can get what I want with the following computation : result <- array(dim=c(dim(array1)[1],

Index matrix to pick elements from 3-dimensional matrix
Hi all Suppose I have a dim=c(2,2,3) matrix A, say: A[,,1]= a b c d A[,,2]= e f g h A[,,3]= i j k l Suppose that I want to create a 2x2 matrix X, which picks elements from the above-mentioned submatrices according to an index matrix J referring to the "depth" dimension: J= 1 3 2 3 In other words, I want X to be X= a j g l since the matrix J says that the (1,1)-element should be

Re: Issue with python pip install
Richard, I put an #ifdef around the logic in py_guestfs_mount_9p and py_guestfs_list_9p, I.e. Left the signatures but the functions just return a a NULL PyObject. It now builds and installs with pip. Thanks for all your help most appreciated. Is there a better way to do this?, #ifdefs always seem a little hacky. Regards John On 9/14/15, 12:47 PM, "Richard W.M. Jones"
