Ubuntu und R
Hallo Zusammen,
hatte gestern die Schnauze voll von Vista und habe mir daraufhin Ubuntu
installiert. Bin also mit Ubuntu ?berhaupt nicht vertraut.
Nun habe ich ohne Erfolg versucht, R zu installieren.
Soweit ich der Anleitung folgen konnte habe ich es so wie auf
http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/R gemacht.
Im Terminal kann ich R problemlos starten.
Allerdings bei der Installation von

Syntax for 2 ISDN Cards
Hi there,
I searched in mailinglist and in web, but no answer to my problem...
Only this post with no answers:
http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2004-March/038994.html
I'm using CVS Asterisk (05/17/04) with chan_capi 0.3.1. (multiple
controller support). In my Asterisk-box there are 2 Fritzcards
(module for second card compiled with changes on sourcecode found in
the web).

Echo Cancellation, what format does the .sw files have
Hi
I'm debugging why echo cancellation does not work in my app using the DUMP_ECHO_CANCEL_DATA flag.
What format does the data I receive have, looks like 16bit integers just dumped but when plotting it in MATLAB I do not get a raw audio data signal I expected.
Kind Regards

sftp authentication failure only as cronjob
Hi all,
I have a problem using sftp which I cannot get solved even after
searching all over the web, so maybe one of you has a useful hint:
I want to run a simple script that puts a file on a server using sftp.
Keys are setup correctly, everything works fine if I run the script from
within a terminal. When I run the same script from the crontab (my
personal crontab as user) the script runs fine

Strange "feature"
Hi all!
Doing my first steps with OCFS (1.0.9), I ran across a nifty little
"feature"....
We've been trying if DMP with QLogic 2300 HBAs works without having DMP
activated (ok, blame on me...).
ocfstool allows you to mount different partitions on the same mountpoint, but
after we tried that, everything went to state "D" and we chose to reboot the
whole cluster (4

Display R graphics windows in second monitor
Greetings,
I would like to display the R graphics window on one monitor of my computer
while simultaneously working with the R console and multiple script windows
in another monitor. Is this possible? I know I can use Tinn R or something
similar but I would prefer not to use these secondary programs if possible.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,

How well does printing support scale in Samba 2.2.x ?
Hi,
I'm working on a printing project consolidating a bunch of NT machines with
a Solaris printing machine. I'm concerned about the scalability if I increase
the number of printers from say 20 too 300. How does it effect the response
time for looking up and changing device setting etc.
Thanks

Subarrays
Define an array
> v<-1:256
> dim(v)<-rep(4,4)
Subarrays can be obtained as follows:
> v[3,2,,2]
[1] 71 87 103 119
> v[3,,,2]
[,1] [,2] [,3] [,4]
[1,] 67 83 99 115
[2,] 71 87 103 119
[3,] 75 91 107 123
[4,] 79 95 111 127
In the general case this procedure is very tedious.
Given an array
A, dim(A)=(dim_1,dim_2,...,dim_d)
and two vectors

Calling fft from C
Hi
I have made a R function 'convolve2' for convolution of two real
valued vectors based on Rs 'convolve' with option type="open" - see
below.
(exp.length and irf.length are variables set in another part of the program)
I wish to implement the function convolve2 in C and use it in a
function used from R with .Call - e.g. I need to call fft in C.
All I can find in the

Caller ID with DTMF
Hi Everyone!
I live in Sweden and can not get CallerID to work on analog incoming lines.
I m trying to find out if DTMF style CallerID works on a FXO card (X100).
I`v seen one solution with a modem attached in parallel with the X100 just to provide the ID on its serial port.
It must be much better if this can be implemented in to the X100 driver.
Any info about this would be highly appreciated.

tar problem
Hello.
What do you suggest I should do if I wanted to mount a lot of windows-shares
onto a linux machine and do a single tar backup on all the windows files onto a
linux tape drive.
There is NO free harddisk space on the linux machine, and it is only possible
to store ONE backup session on the tape.
I can only use smbtar for one client at a time, as I understand it. Please tell
me if I'm
