Data.frame manipulation
Hi All,
I'm conducting a meta-analysis and have taken a data.frame with multiple
rows per
study (for each effect size) and performed a weighted average of effect size
for
each study. This results in a reduced # of rows. I am particularly
interested in
simply reducing the additional variables in the data.frame to the first row
of the
corresponding id variable. For example:

reducing data.frame
Hi All,
Is there an easy way to reduce a data.frame to 1 'id' per row while keeping
information from the other rows of that same variable, if applicable? e.g.:

treatment outcome o.rater german

nested ANOVA with fixed and random variables missing data
I have a nested ANOVA, with a fixed factor "tmt" nested within "site" (random).
There are missing values in the data set.
aeucs, tmt and site have been defined as objects
I have tried:
model1=lme(aeucs~tmt,random=~1|tmt/site)
I get the following error message

Proc Mixed to R
Hi All,
I'm working with some SAS code to analyze an experiment set up as follows:
66 subjects (colonies) treated with a random treatment (1-8) and measured at
three time points.
The data structure looks like:
input colony tmt y1 y2 y3;
y=y1; date=*1*; output;
y=y2; date=*2*; output;
y=y3; date=*3*; output;

Observed responses in 'augPred' data frame - Wrong order ?
Dea-R community.
I'd like to draw your attention to an issue I have recently
encountered while doing my current data analysis.
I've got an unexpected (to me) result from the command:
> augPred(lmList(my.object)),
'my.object' being a grouped data frame of class:
> class(my.object)

R CMD check error
I have a local library which depends on the expm library. The expm library is loaded into
my personal space and I have the environment variable R_LIBS_USER set appropriately. The
command "library(expm)" works just fine from the command line, and in fact the package
works if I do the source() and dyn.load() commands by hand.
The following sequence works:
tmt% R CMD build

R CMD check error
Martin,
I am aware of --vanilla; I use it myself for some testing. In this case R_LIBS_USER was
set externally (part of my login) and does not involve any of the R scripts. That means
it is inherited by any subprocess. For example:
tmt1495% R --vanilla --no-environ

Histogram: plot by group
I want to make a histogram in R of the data in attached excel file called
'cbt'. However, I need the histogram to show a separation for Group 1 and
Group 2, as in attached image.
How do I do this in R? I know how to make a histogram for a single group,
but how can I separate the 2 groups?

Transport endpoint is not connected while mounting....
Does anyone have any idea what to try next? Here are the steps I have
taken and the problem: (I wanted to post my question on the first
line before I explained the problem and what I have tried)

Node 0 has the file system mounted just fine and works great.
When trying to mount on Node 1: `mount.ocfs2 /dev/mapper/data /cluster/

Strange behavior
I'm using syslinux 4.04 with dynamically generated menus configuration based
on info found in various web pages. I'm doing my testing using a vCetner
4.10 Vmware virtual machine. This works some of the time, but not always.
I just copied the prebuilt modules from the syslinux 4.04 distribution for
gpxelinx.0, menu.c32, reboot.c32, and pxelinux.0

I can send the file to anyone who would like to understand this more deeply.
The top 3% of the vector is a single repeated value.
