I''m having an issue with u32 masking
Hello again all,
I''m proud to say that with the help of a good friend and some serious
tinkering, I have finally figured out filtering within tc.
But alas, I am having an issue I know I should not be having.
I am trying to filter all IRC traffic on my network so that it neither
consumes large amounts of band width nor gets to little band width.
I originally wanted to filter just

Better filtering to a class
Dear all,
I want to make a filter for all IRC-Dalnet traffic, so I want to put all

7000, 7001, 7002, and 8000 to a class. So, I create a TC script as below.
I''m sure, it is not effective, and we can write it in simpler.
I need help, how to make my script below are simpler.
The simpler, the better.
Thank you

No locks available... help wanted!
In a last attempt to solve this rails issue, i keep hitting this error in
whatever i do on the server. It seems to be a locking issue. The server was
working like a charm before ...
server specs are: debian (almost virgin) + ruby on rails 0.13 + lighttpd +
fastcgi.
After searching google, I can''t find anything helpful that relates to the errors

DEVICE_STATE() and Asterisk 1.6.0.10

I must be missing something here but I can't figure out why I can't get
DEVICE_STATE() to give me anything other than "NOT_INUSE".
I have two extensions: 6666 and 6668. I used 6668 to make a call to
yet another phone, so I know that it's busy. I then use 6666 to call
6668 and in the dialplan have a noop to see what

CGI and FastCGI problems
I can''t my rails app to work with cgi or fastcgi.
My app works using webrick. I''ve even hard-coded development mode in
environment.rb in order to get most descriptive messages, but the best I
get is the following in the apache2 errorlog:
[Thu Dec 15 10:38:04 2005] [error] [client x.x.x.x] FastCGI: incomplete

FastCGI timeout problem
Hi everybody,
after more than 18 hours trying to get Ruby Rails running, i ran into this
problem that i cannot solve. I want to mention that with normal CGI the test app
was running fine. FastCGI is making me problems.
I receive in the browser:
"Application error
Rails application failed to start properly"
and in apache2 log files i have:

Can't replicate DCs
Hi list,
I'm running into issues with Samba 4.5.16-Debian. I am trying to get 3 DCs
to talk to each other and replicate. DC1 and DC3 are on the same subnet;
DC2 is on another subnet, accessible by IP. Currently, no firewalls on any
of the DCs.
Issue 1 - When I run "samba-tool drs showrepl", I get various results:

RE: Relocating the directory for ruby_sess.* files
Please, someone can tell me where session data are stored on Windows, using
Webrick in its default configuration?
After storing an object into @session, I initially can access only the
controller that has stored the object. Otherwise, the html page displays
"Not found" and the Webrick console displays:
#<ActionController::SessionRestoreError: Session contained objects where

HTB - not borrowing, not exceeding rate
Hello!
I have a quite complicated setup. In my network on each interface there is
bandwidth limitation for each user. Booth outgoing (on interface itself) and
incoming (attached IMQ) traffic. There is main HTB class which limits
bandwidth for whole interface and HTB subclasses for each user. Filtering is
done with hashing filters. This setup was working correctly.
But now in the network I

Permission denied ruby_sess?
I am really new to RonR. Anyone can give me a hand with this?
I get the Application Error page and if I look at development log, this is
what I see:
Permission denied -
/home/john/public_html/rails/myapp/public/../config/../tmp/sessions//ruby_sess.5b90dd63b9d25d2e
Any idea?

Disc quota exceeded when attempting to write session
Hi All,
When trying to write sessions file, I''m getting disc quota errors.
Looking into the sessions folder, I see:
-rw------- 1 www www 188 Aug 2 21:03 ruby_sess.d39a2c77b4750b72
-rw-r--r-- 1 www www 0 Aug 2 21:03 ruby_sess.d39a2c77b4750b72.tmp
I''m guessing the the tmp should not be there, as it does not show on
my dev setup.
I''m using rails (1.1.1)

Stable Production Environment on Unix/Linux
Hello,
I wonder what would be the most stable production runtime environment for a
rails application on Unix/Linux. I am not very fond of FastCGI indeed, since
it''s not seen any further developement lately.
What are your experiences e.g. with the mongrel server? Has anybody used it for
production?
What are the alternatives?
May be some fine lad could just point me to web site

Samba and syslog
Hi,
when starting samba it logs the following text to /var/log/messages,
although I have added syslog only = no and syslog = 1.
Samba's log file is /var/log/samba...
How can I disable logging to syslog?
Thanks!

Got event 17 (Polarity Reversal)...
Can anyone tell me what this message means?
Got event 17 (Polarity Reversal)...
I'm running DAHDI 2.0 with a TDM401 card. Asterisk version 1.6.0.
It appears that I get this Polarity Reversal each time an inbound call
hangs up. This results in another ring, but no one is there. It appears
as an unknown caller, but I believe its a phantom.
Thanks,
Jim

Faked samba packages / rootkit?
Does anybody know of these samba packages?
http://ftp.cvut.cz/samba/samba-latest.tar.gz
AFAICS they are faked and contain some kind of rootkit (you can see
this in the history below. the server this history is from is taken
offline for security reasons, and nobody is there till 7th Jan I
can't give you more details)
