Difficulty with LRSM Rasch analysis with eRm package in R.
Hi, I am trying to do an LRSM Rasch analysis for 72-item data. 67 of the items are binary, and 5 are ternary. I have tried it with and without a specified matrix, and cannot get it to work. The primary problems I am having are: 1. Without a matrix, I get an error: Error in `rownames<-`(`*tmp*`, value = betanames) : length of 'dimnames' [1] not equal to array extent This is from

Puppet / Passenger SSL Problems with DRBD
I am working on setting up a Puppet configuration where some of the data is stored on a DRBD volume. The modules and vardir are stored on the drbd volume. The puppet.conf files point to the drbd volume for vardir. I created a cert for a VIP puppet-master using the puppetca -- create command I had everything working on the primary drbd node, but when I fail over, everything starts up fine, but I

column selection for aggregate()
Hi everybody! I'm working on R today so I have a lot of questions (you may have noticed that it's the 3rd email today). I'm new on R, so please excuse the "spam"! I have a dataset "ssfa" with many rows and the column names are: > names(ssfa) [1] "SPECSHOR" "BONE" "TO_POS" "MEASUREM" "FACETTE"

eRm - Rasch modeling - First item missing from estimation
I'm trying to kick off some of the rust and learn some of the R packages for Rasch modeling. When I tried using the eRm package, I get item difficulty estimates for all my items accept the first (in terms of order) item. #Begin code library(eRm) r.simulation <- sim.rasch(20,100) r.data <- r.simulation$items #eRm results erm.rasch <- RM(r.data) names(erm.rasch) erm.items <-

eRm: new version 0.9-6
Dear useRs, new and updated features in eRm 0.9-6 for extended Rasch modeling: - infit and outfit mean-square statistics added to functions personfit() and itemfit(). - new method: plotPImap() plots a person-item map (cf. Bond & Fox, 2007), i.e., a map of locations of item (and threshold) parameters, and the distribution of person parameters. - new options in plotGOF(): 'conf':

eRm package - Rasch simulation
When I try to create a Rasch simulation of data using the sim.rasch function, I get more items than I intend #My code library(eRm) #Number of items k <- 20 #Number of participants n <- 100 #Create Rasch Data #sim.rasch(persons, items, seed = NULL, cutpoint = "randomized") r.simulation <- sim.rasch(n,k) I end up with 20 participants and 100 items, but the instructions say

Partial Credit Models using eRm
Hello all, I have just started using fitting the PCM (Partial Credit Model) using eRm and have 2 problems which I cannot solve, I have checked everywhere on the net, but no joy: Firstly, I have fit a PCM model to 10 variables with differing response categories (3 for the first 6 items, 4 for the following 2 and 2 for the last two items). mat1 <- matrix(c(rasch_bart$bart_bowel,

eRm/raschsampler error message
Hi, I am running the non-parametric rasch model tests using eRm. I have a reasonably large dataset for this type of exercise (110 items, 248 persons). I run: > allb2=as.matrix(allb) > rsample <- rsampler(allb2, ctr) > t102<-NPtest(rsample, method="T10") #global test, subgroup inv and receive error message as follows. "Error in m[idx1, idx2] <- 1 : subscript out

mirt vs. eRm vs. ltm vs. winsteps
Dear R-List, I tried to fit a partial credit model using the "pcmdat" from eRm-package comparing the results of mirt, eRm, ltm and winsteps. The results where quite different, though. I cannot figure out what went wrong and I do not know which result I can rely on. This is what I did in R library(mirt) #load(file="u3.RData")

How to best start from scratch implementing a ERM diagram?
Hey people, I''m starting a new project and just finished creating the ERM diagram with about 30 tables. There are quite some tables with foreign keys so I''m not sure how to start creating the controllers/models. How should I start creating controllers/models? Should I first create all tables without foreign key? Should I just start somewhere and add them radomly? I''m

Adjusting p values of a matrix
Dear all, I have an n x n matrix of p-values. The matrix is symmetrical, as it describes the "each against each" p values of correlation coefficients. How can I best correct the p values of the matrix? Notably, the total number of the tests performed is n(n-1)/2, since I do not test the correlation of each variable with itself. That means, I only want to correct one half of the matrix,

problem with nested loop for regression
Hi everyone, I'm experiencing difficulty getting the results I want when I use a nested for loop. I have a data set to which I perform some calculations, and then try to apply a regression over a rolling window. The code runs, but the regression results I am getting (intercept and slope) are simply the same, repeated again and again in the results matrix. The regression does not seem to be

Overcoming warning in package zoo
Dear R users,I have a long program that I am trying to run--I am using RStudio as my interface with R. The pieces of the program run well individually but when I try to run everything in sequence it bogs down because of a warning after using rollmax from package zoo. Here is the warning: "In rollmax.zoo(zoo(Pmat), 7, na.pad = FALSE, align = "right") : na.pad is deprecated. Use

Adding 3D points
I would like to add individual points and lines to a persp() plot that I generated with the geoR package. It is a kriged surface map of a field plot and I'd like to overlay my sampling points on it but am having some trouble. I loaded the scatterplot3d package, but I can't seem to use the add parameter with it. Any suggestions?

Can't Get Lattice Histogram Minor Tick Marks to Work
Thanks Jeff, I attached a file with the program to my earlier email because the posting guide seemed to imply that non-binary attachments would work. But I see that the file was stripped off. I installed the program file on a web site, but when I downloaded it, the line breaks were stripped out. So I've included the program below: ------------------------------------------------------- #

persp(): add second plane (second, long question)
Thank you for your replies so far. Sorry for bothering you again, but I'm still not able to get what I need as I don't understand all parts of the replies (just using R for easy things....). Is there a code for plane3d() like some of you sent me for points3d()? I was not able to get that out of the scatterplot3d package... What I can do is to get the x,y and z-range for the xlim, ylim and

Can't Get Lattice Histogram Minor Tick Marks to Work

Averaging uneven measurements by time with uneven numbers of measurements
I have a new device that takes measurements anywhere from every second, to every 15 minutes (depending on changes). The matrix has a date, time and Y column (Y is the measurement). For three days it is 25,000 rows. How do I average the measurements by every 30 minutes so my matrix is 48 rows per day? I have been working on this and cannot figure out a simple method. Any ideas? Thank you. ----- In

Can't Get Lattice Histogram Minor Tick Marks to Work
I'm drawing a paneled histogram using the lattice package. I've succeeded in adding minor tick marks to the vertical axis, but I can't get the desired number of minor tick marks between the major tick marks. I've attached a self-contained program to illustrate the problem. Thanks for your help, Don Macnaughton Here's my sessionInfo: R version 3.4.3 (2017-11-30) Platform:
