GSoC Opportunity
Dear LLVM Team, I would like to contribute to/participate in LLVM’s GSOC, because I would very much like to combine my knowledge of graph theory/algorithms and my interest in C++ together. Contributing to the LLVM code seems like a fantastic challenge and learning experience for these two interests of mine, as well as computer science in general (For example, the use of a new syntactic category

R/S-related projects on Sourceforge? Trove Categorization
Hi R-Users and Developers, Several months ago I made a request on Sourceforge to add the R/S - programming language to the _Trove_ categorization. ("The Trove is a means to convey basic metainformation about your project.") Today I got the following response of one of the sourceforge admins. <SNIP> SourceForge.net will consider the inclusion of a programming language within

Deduplication - deleting the original
In reading this blog post: http://blogs.sun.com/bobn/entry/taking_zfs_deduplication_for_a a question came to mind..... To understand the context of the question, consider the opening paragraph from the above post; Here is my test case: I have 2 directories of photos, totaling about 90MB > each. And here''s the trick - they are almost complete duplicates of each > other. I downloaded

Hi Stefanos, First, thanks a lot for the very detailed response! I watched both of the videos, and I seem to have a rough idea now of how each of the different pieces of software maps onto the compilation process. Though I found blogs such as these two: https://jonasdevlieghere.com/understanding-the-clang-ast/, https://releases.llvm.org/2.6/docs/tutorial/JITTutorial1.html to be better for a more

Panel Slider (like on maps.google.com)
Hi, I want to create a panel slider like shown on maps.google.com (click the little triangle on the left side of the map (in the vertical- middle)). I tried several scriptaculous treasure chest thingies .. but they didn''t work. Does anyone know of a way to do this? Hi everyone, > I probably do not have the time to get a patch through. IMHO, you do. :) First of all, @Benson sorry but I'm not at all familiar with LLDB so I can't help there. Other than that, I'll also disappoint you both probably because I'm not that familiar with the creation of passes and the problem at hand. I'll try to help as I can. > Is there a specific

Running child's game "Blue's Treasure Hunt"
I see "Blue's Clues PreSchool" on the AppDB, with the note that it installs and runs OK. I have "Blue's Treasure Hunt" by InfoGames (<www.us.infogames.com). When I mount the CD, it shows the "Preparing the InstallShield wizard" box, which quickly goes to 100%. However, I then immediately get an almost empty dialog box with the Error icon (no text).

DTrace vs truss
G''Day Folks, I''ve finally typed up my classic DTrace demo, which I use to introduce people to DTrace (I delivered this at SOSUG#1), http://www.brendangregg.com/DTrace/dtracevstruss.html Here I create a fault and show the difficulty in analysing it using previous tools. Then I compare the impact of analysing the problem using both DTrace and truss. DTrace wins (a lot!).

What can help you is the Control-Flow graph, which is basically

Hi Nick, What you said makes sense, but it's not called a call graph. :) You're essentially referring to what LoopInfo does which makes sense, but as I mentioned earlier, this is already done in the LoopInfo. Now, how much one will be able to use it in a LoopNestPass is another issue, which is certainly something that mentors could help you with. Best, Stefanos Στις Τρί, 17 Μαρ 2020

Add a few items (after about 8, is when it happens to me) then click close. THe animation is not very smooth for me, it only displays about 3 frames. This is not because it is pushing a lot of content down (look at the scriptalucous wiki effects

Samba 4 technical documentation
Hi Newsgroup, I want to write a technical thesis about Samba 4 and need more detailed infos about samba's own implementations of ldap, kerberos, bind, etc. and the differences from the common implementations. Obviously I'm to stupid to find it for myself so I would be very grateful for any help, links, etc. Thanks in advance, Markus

Hi Raphael, Thanks for the clarification. I note that in this case, I also think that Benson should preferably find a different project as that would probably be better for everybody.
