Ubuntu und R
Hallo Zusammen,
hatte gestern die Schnauze voll von Vista und habe mir daraufhin Ubuntu
installiert. Bin also mit Ubuntu ?berhaupt nicht vertraut.
Nun habe ich ohne Erfolg versucht, R zu installieren.
Soweit ich der Anleitung folgen konnte habe ich es so wie auf
http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/R gemacht.
Im Terminal kann ich R problemlos starten.
Allerdings bei der Installation von

JGR/Deducer Installation
Hi,
Sorry if this is to wrong mailing list. In that case, please point me
to correct mailing list.
Please also excuse rather long mail - I am not sure what piece of
information would be useful for anybody who could help me.
Couple of days back I had put a query about box-plots using GUI. I
got some excellent suggestions. One of them was to use JGR/Deducer.
It worked quite well for my needs.

i'm trying to install JGR on linux (see bottom), but it runs into errors.
The bottom of the sequence below shows "JavaJD could not be found"
Any suggestion, please?

R Java compile problem
Hi folks: I'm trying to update my JGR and related packages, but run
into a compile problem, that I suspect must be affecting others. I
get this output when compiling rJava, JavaGD, etc.:

trouble loading JGR on Debian
Dear developers
I am unable to (properly) load JGR on Debian testing. The JGR window
will pop out and R will start up, but it will not perform any of the
JGR specific library() calls (rJava, JavaGD, etc.) and will stuck at
100% CPU while the prompt will be non-responsive. The hack that helped
previously in such cases, accessing Help > About [1], works no more.
All R packages are installed via

JGR GUI for R-2.10.0 "Help" "Print"
I have updated R 2.9.1 to 2.10.0. and JGR GUI 1.7. I am running Windows XP.
I can't seem to get the JGR "Print" or "Help" functions to work. The system
locks and requires me to "stop the process".
In the past I have preferred the opreation and "feel" of JGR GUI. I realize
that this help forum is for R; but, I am hoping that some other R-user is

Trouble compiling Java-based R packages
Hi folks: I guess my earlier posting was too involved, so let me try
to get to the essence of my problem.
I recently tried to compile JGR, rJava, etc. into my updated R.
First, I ran: R CMD javareconf. The output from that tells me that
"JAVA_HOME is not a valid path, ignoring" and the cpp flags are set to
nothing. The javareconf fills most of the variables with references

JavaGD package
Am trying to install package JGR and, by necessity, JavaGD on a few
Linux platforms. R rev. 2.14.0. Had some success on one platform, but
am running into a problem on a new platform. I installed rJava, JavaGD,
iplots, and JGR. Things went - I thought - without a hitch. Now, when
I try to use JGR, I start R and issue the command "library(JGR)" and get

R GUI installation on Linux/SuSE 10.3
After a long sufferance I had succeeded in installing R GUI on my
Linux/SuSE system. It worked fine.
Unluckily a system upgrade patch messed up my monitor so I had to reinstall
SuSE 10.3 and every other application on top of it.
I have R running back with text interface. I tried to get the nice R GUI up
& running again. I followed all the steps to reinstall the R GUI but this
time I get a

On 64-bit Ubuntu 9.10, using R as root (sudo -i), I can say

Note: On Mac OS X we strongly recommend using iplots from within JGR.
Proceed at your own risk as iplots cannot resolve potential ev.loop
