recovering the name of a given value in a matrix
Hi all, I've got object *cumsumtab, *where the first row (1,2,3,4,5,6,8,13,14,17,40) are names (actually, categories), and the second row has numeric values. > cumsumtab 1 2 3 4 5 6 8 13 14 17 40 2 4 6 7 9 11 13 14 15 16 17 I'm trying to find a way of finding to which category ( in *names(cumsumtab) * ) belongs a given value (let's say Q1 <- 4.25). So far, I've

Dear R-helpers, I’ve got a summary of results from a by() call that I am making with a list of more than two of factors not very different from the example in the by() help page require(stats) by(warpbreaks[, 1], warpbreaks[, -1], summary) The result of the command gives a list of the form wool: A tension: L Min. 1st Qu. Jon, We are only using FastAgi. On the second system (running Asterisk 16) there are no agi's running (just some bash scripts on call hangup). I did add some hackey code (netstat -nua | grep -v 'udp 0 0' | grep -v udp6 | grep -v ' 0 0.0.0.0' | grep udp) to my bash script to check out the packet queue (with the help of

Openbsd very slow
Hi We have a problem with a new server system running OpenBSD 3.6 (macppc). It runs on a vlan which is part of other vlan in a building network infrastructure. The img0 interface is configured 100baseTX full-duplex as it should be. The speed is disappointing, using samba 2.2.10. Other systems, i.e. four mac's computers exchange data at full speed over that network. All cables are brand new ,

Suggestion.
Hi, I''m new to the list. I intend to learn about some Linux Networking features to help myself and others. I''m looking to control the bandwidth in my office. Basically there are like 20 computers, a 2MB Adsl Line. And I would love to let them only use a certain amount of bandwidth. For example let every client use 20KB of internet bandwidth of the 210KB we can download

I am thinking of an application that has something like this: 1. person has many things - there is a ''persons'' table 2. the things he has are stored in a table that is something like this person_id, thing_table_name, thing_id For example, it may map to person1, books, 23 #Person 1 owns book 23 person1, books, 25 #Person 1 owns book 25

Design / Pattern / Scaffold for has-and-belongs-to-many ?
Is there a standard practice for providing a UI into HBTM relationships? I have a model User, and a model Training, and I need to manage both relationships -- show me all the people that have training X, but also show me all trainings user U has. And, of course, "Lookup this user and then add/remove trainings for this person" or "Lookup this training and add/remove

Has and belongs to many ... howto in the view?
I have a project, it has members. I have the data modeled, the ActiveRecord setup but I''m running into a block as how to accomplish this in a view. I would like if when the Project is being edited to present a list of all users, and then have a checkbox beside each name. Those selected would be a member, those who are not, obviously would not be. I am, however, not closed to
