Model frame manipulation
Dear all, I am implementing a redundant variables F-test. For that I need to compute 2 models, restricted and unrestricted, then extracting the residuals to calculate the test statistic. I borrowed this elegant solution from the LMtest package to rebuild the first of the matrices involved (the unrestricted one) on the basis of model spec. and data >red.var.test<-function(formula,

Convert mle list to a hash
These patches convert the mle list to a hash. The same patches apply on ocfs2 1.4 too. Currently, we use the same number of hash pages for mles and lockres'. This will be addressed in a future patch that will make both of them configurable. Sunil

Line of best
Hi, I have a scatter plot, with an equation that best fits the scatter plot expressed as: 1/x^.6. I know for normal linear regression lines you can use the abline() command; however, since my best fit line is not linear, how can I draw my line on the scatter plot in a similar fashion to abline(). Thanks for everyone's help again. I appreciate this board's advice. Mark

o2dlm mle hash patches - round 2
The changes from the last drop are: 1. Patch 11 removes struct dlm_lock_name. 2. Patch 12 is an unrelated bugfix. Actually is related to a bugfix that we are retracting in mainline currently. The patch may need more testing. While I did hit the condition in my testing, Marcos hasn't. I am sending it because it can be queued for 2.6.30. Give us more time to test. 3. Patch 13 will be useful

who's in charge of the fortune d/b?
I haven't found who does it for RHEL/CentOS yet, and there's a wrong attribution.... --------------------- Fortune Begin ------------------------ I'm N-ary the tree, I am, N-ary the tree, I am, I am. I'm getting traversed by the parser next door, She's traversed me seven times before. And ev'ry time it was an N-ary (N-ary!) Never wouldn't ever do a binary. (No

Loading data from folder
Hi, I am trying to load csv type data from a folder. However, rather than syntax that simply loads one file at a time I was wondering if there is a method that loads all data from a specific folder. For instance, I have the following data files in a folder nebraskaStats: 10-1-2009_10-7-2009.txt 10-2-2009_10-8-2009.txt 10-3-2009_10-9-2009.txt ....etc. (245 total files in folder) Each file

Merging vector data into one file
Hi, I had another question. If you had say a vector (e.g., called data) with 235 elements and each element looked like the following data[[1]] Column A-B Column Z-S Column A-S.... 1 2 5 ....... data[[2]] Column Z-B Column A-S Column A-B.... 2 1 3 ....... Anyway, each element consists of one row

number of ticks in a persp() plot
Hi, I am trying to specify four ticks (at 0,1,2,3 for the y axis) in a persp plot but the defaults overrule my specification and I obtain seven of them. Is it possible to gain full control over them in such a plot? Here is my code: matlines=matrix(c(1:7,3:9,3:9,2:8),nrow=7,ncol=4)

[LLVMdev] A way to traverse machine basic blocks in order?
I'm looking for a way to traverse machine basic blocks in a specific order. Basically I want all blocks that are predecessors to the current block to be traversed before the current block. I've looked at MachineDominatorTree but this doesn't traverse them in quite the way I want them to. Anyone know of a way to do this? Thanks, Micah -------------- next part -------------- An HTML

positioning of color key in levelplot
Is there a way of positioning the color key in levelplot when the axes are on a categorical (rather than numerical) scale? I've put some sample code below. I need to add a secondary y axis to the right side of my plot but then the labels interfere with the color key (which is currently on the right side). Is there a way to shift the color key over a bit more to the right? I've tried

What is preferable - a single large package or a few smaller packages?
Hi all, I maintain the WGCNA package which at present has nearly 200 functions. In the future there will be more. Curious whether it would be preferable or useful to split the package into a couple different ones with different aims. Obviously, when one calls a function in R, package name spaces have to be traversed to find the matching name - does the speed of this depend on how functions are

Data formatting for matplot
Dear List, I am wanting to produce a multiple line plot, and know I can do it with matplot but can't get my data in the format I need. I have a dataframe with three columns; individuals ID, x, and y. I have tried split() but it gives me a list of matrices, which is closer but not quite what I need. For example: id<-rep(seq(1,5,1),length.out=100) x<-rnorm(100,5,1)

[PATCH] build: ensure .pot and .pod files for docs are up-to-date
Traverse the po-docs directory before the subdirectories with translated documentations, so we can make sure that libguestfs-docs.pot and the translated .pod files have been generated. As a consequence of that, when generating the translated manpages for documentations, all the needed .pod files should be already there. --- po-docs/Makefile.am | 6 +++++- 1 file changed, 5 insertions(+), 1

Detect and replace omitted data
I am analyzing the spatial distribution of fish in a stream. The stream is divided into equally sized units, and the number of fish in each unit is counted. My problem is that my dataset is missing rows where the count in a unit equals zero. I need to create zero data for the missing units. For example: day<-(c(rep(4,8),rep(6,8))) unit<-c(seq(1,8,1),seq(2,16,2))

[LLVMdev] Traverse SelectionDAG in gdb
Hi, I am some difficulty in traversing and quering about selectionDAG. One great way of doing it is through Dot as described in the docs. However, in my case the llvm source code is installed on a remote linux machine and I am accessing it through a Windows PC. So the "popping out" of graphs is not possible. Is there a way that I can dump the output of viewGraph() in a file and run dot
