R Package: mmlcr and/or flexmix
Greetings I'm a relatively new R user and I'm trying to build a latent class model. I've used the 'R Site Search' and it appears there's not much dialogue on these packages On mmlcr, I've gotten it working, but not sure if I'm using it correctly. On flexmix, I can only seem to get results for one class. I'm attaching my code below - if anyone

Change log(J) to log(J+1) to stop log(0) from occurring in harModel
I think the code is part of the RTAQ package but is not included in it, as I obtained it from https://r-forge.r-project.org/scm/viewvc.php/pkg/RTAQ/R/HAR_model.R?view=markup&root=blotter&sortby=author&pathrev=1028. It is not my code and I make no claim to other's good work, and apologize if I should even be posting it I am not sure, but in the transform function it allows to

I and another person who has successfully used the sem package for similar analysis (fMRI effective connectivity) cannot figure out what is wrong with my code. I would appreciate any suggestions. The error message: Error in data.frame(object$coeff, se, z, 2 * (1 - pnorm(abs(z))), par.code) : arguments imply differing

How to pick colums from a ragged array?
I have a large dataset (~1 million rows) of three variables: ID (patient's name), DATE (of appointment) and DIAGNOSIS (given on that date). Patients may have been assigned more than one diagnosis at any one appointment - leading to two rows, same ID and DATE but different DIAGNOSIS. The diagnoses may change between appointments. I want to subset the data in two ways: - define groups
