Variables in a Tabular form. easily saved in a txt file
Dear all,
I would like to save few variable-names with their values in a tabular form, with that I mean
that files can be printed easily in R in a tabular form and also saved in a ascii file that when one opens it see also the variables in a nice tabular format.
IS that possible? Below a small example of how should look results in R and in a txt file.

print table on plot
Hello,
I would like to be able to plot an array on a plot, something like:

val1| 0.9 | 1.1 | 2.4

I know Rwave is good to report but don't want to use it.
? Is there a package that allow quick and dirty plot of dataframes like this

the code for inserting vertical lines, in the tabular environment, causes
the build to choke, but not the check command.

Space between bars in barplot
Hi,
with the "space" parameter it is possible to change the gap / distance
between the bars, but is it also
possible to change the "space" after each 6th bar?
So for example you have bars from 1 to 6 then a large gap and then the next
six bars from 7 to 12

xtable with \begin{tabular} and only.contents
I have found that I like having my captions and labels in my latex document
rather than having them contained in my xtable output file (I haven't fully
gone to sweave yet). I know I can do something like this by using the
'only.contents' argument in xtable. Unfortunately, the only.contents

What is the equivalent for formatted tabular output of the various very

barplot with specific order of x axis labels
Hi all,
I'd appreciate your help with this problem.
I need to plot a barplot with the categories in a specific order. My data
might be:
hours Freq
AN 10
MO 14
LU 30
I need the categories to be in the order:
MO LU AN
Is there some way to pass sort the dataset into this order so that it plots
correctly when passed to barplot()?

Y values below the X plot
Dear List,
I am creating a plot and I want to insert the tabular data below the X axis.
I mean for every value of X I want to show the value in Y as a table below
the plot. I think the attached image gives an idea of what I mean by this.
Below is the code i am using now... but as you see the Y values don't have

Dear R Users,
I have a basis question regarding the use of color in the lattice package. I
read the ?barchart help page and searched the R archives but could not
understand how to do it.
I just need to plot a barchart using specific colors for my groups, e.g.
