Add "title" in sink output and possibility of plot-like output for text
Hello,
I have been using sink to create text file outputs.
>sink("summ_model1and2.txt")
> summary(model1)
> summary(model2)
> sink()
Q1: Is there a way I could add a line of the text above the summary to act
like a title?
Also, I have been using the following to save plots from the lm function:
> pdf("small.bin.ENN_MN_withQ.pdf")
> par(mfrow = c(2, 2), oma

R2HTML: output from for-loops
Hi,
I am trying to prepare a report with R2HTML using
HTMLStart(outdir="./html", filename="report", echo=T, HTMLframe=F)
then, for instance, I want to get the output of a loop:
for (i in 1:20) print(summary(rnorm(1000)))
but only the first of summaries really ends up in the html file.
What am I doing wrongly?
Thanks,
Werner

Format of Output of Residuals
An excerpt from dataset ChickWeight:
??? weight Time Chick Diet
1?????? 42??? 0???? 1??? 1
2?????? 51??? 2???? 1??? 1
3?????? 59??? 4???? 1??? 1
I am interested in the residuals of the dataset.? Specifically in
saving them to another format. I have been creating text files with
sink.
CW.lm <- lm(weight ~ Diet, ChickWeight)
resid.CW.lm <- resid(CW.lm)
But when I call:
resid.CW.lm

Output an RWeka model via sink
When I sink the output of an RWeka model to a text file, the output file appears empty:
library(RWeka)
model = LogitBoost(Species~.,data=iris)
print(model)
sink("output.txt")
print(model)
#file output.txt is created, but it is blank
sink()
Am I doing anything wrong?

save to file
Hi,
What's the equivalent of "Save to File" from the R console File menu on an R routine? Just trying
to capture the whole R console into a text file when my code fails.

Write multiple objects / data frames into a single .csv -- write.csv
Hello,
Is there a way to put multiple data.frames or objects into a single .csv ?
I know I can use sink() to do this for a text file. Is there way to do it
for a .csv?
e.g. for sink()
sink("c5.k.s.p.92.LN.sl.vs.mean.txt")
symnum(c5.k.92.LN.sl.vs.mean)
symnum(c5.s.92.LN.sl.vs.mean)
symnum(c5.p.92.LN.sl.vs.mean)
sink()
Could I put these all into a single .csv, in a similar format to

Sink redundant spill after RA
Hi All,
I found some cases where a spill of a live range in a block is reloaded only
in one of its successors, and there is no reload in other paths through
other successors. Since the spill is reloaded only in a certain path, it
must be okay to sink such spill close to its reloads. In the AArch64 code
below, there is a spill(x2) in the entry, but this value is reloaded only
in %bb.1, not in

Capturing R console output into a file (sink+savehistory ??)
After reading more, I understand I didn't formulate my last question
correctly, so please allow me to rephrase:
What I am looking for is a way to save the R console session output.
That is, a command that would combine the results of using:
?sink # And
?savehistory
My motivation for this is that doing it will allow someone who is a blind
user of R to be able to easily export his results to

I am trying to export the results from symnum() while maintain their

using the sink() function in a for-look
hi all,
i wanted to use the sink function to sequentially output regression
summaries within a for-loop. i must have something wrong somewhere (or be
using the sink function incorrectly), but can anyone help?
the code I am using is:
where data.x is a data.frame of independents, and data.y is a data.frame of
dependents.

Export to .txt
Hi,
I would like to export all my workspace (even with the evaluation of
commands) to the text file. I know about the sink() function but it doesnt
work as I would like. My R-function looks like this: there are instructions
for user displayed by cat() command and browser() commands for fulfilling
them. While using the sink() command the instructions dont display :(

writing output directly to file; sink?
Dear all,
I am working with large matrices (19.6 million elements * 1000 simulations)
and am trying to get around memory problems and vector length issues. I?ve
split the inputs so that the output vector length will not exceed 2^31.
Working on a 64bit machine with 80GB RAM, I still get close to the memory
limits when allowing output to be held in memory (as would be expected).

Multiple language output - Correct in RGui, wrong in .txt after sink()
I have the following problem with outputting multilingual data to a file.
I get (except for Korean) what I expect as result in the RGui, but when I
use sink() to output to a text file loose the characters in the foreign
languages.
I post a small example below. Since I am not sure how well my email system
as the list copes with all the different characters I have additionally

Is there an equivalent of "echo"
Sorry I'm having one of those moments where I can't find the answer but I bet its obvious...
I'm outputting my results to a file using sink()
Is there a command simillar to php's echo command that would allow me to add some text to that file ie:
dataFr$a = 1:10
dataFr$b = 2*1:10
sink ("filepath/filename.txt", split=T)
#Show number of entries in vector a

Log or diary file
Hi!
Is it possible to set a file to which both
commands and output would get automatically
saved? I've tried with sink(), but only get
the output. I mean something
like a combined history and sink, as you
get with File/Save to File.. in the windows
GUI.
Tis is done with diary filename in Matlab,
and you can state diary on and
diary off to control what is being saved to
the file.
Thanks

[LLVMdev] sinking address computing in CodeGenPrepare
When multiple GEPs or other operations are used for the address calculation, OptimizeMemoryInst() performs address matching and determines a final addressing expression as a simple form (e.g., ptrtoint/add/inttoptr) and sinks it into user's block so that ISel could have better chance to fold address computation into LDRs and STRs. However, OptimizeMemoryInst() seems to do this transformation

Copy text from Script syntax into .txt
Hi everybody,
How can I get text from RScript (e.g. syntax, reminder) into the result
text.
Sink() does not do that - I only read the results and therefore I have to
'guess' which syntax was used where - reminders I wrote are lost.
Bw and thank you in advance,
Roberto
