LARGE FILE PROBLEMS
Hi
I have a pb with large file on a RedHat 9/Reiseifs/Samba 3.0.1 server
My linux server will be use for backup Oracle databases.
There is files of 4 Gb but, when I connect to the Oracle 9i server
I see files of 16 E.
I have search in thousand threads in the forum, but it's still very
confusing for me.
- when doing ./configure samba indicate check for LFS -- yes
- I connect to the win2k

Can't kill smbd process
Hi,
Since this week my Samba keep accumulating smbd process that keep lock on
files and neither me as root or samba itself can't kill. The only way to
release the locked files is to reboot the machine and this is really
annoying for all the clients. I read in a forum that this might be link with
a kernel corruption, but this threads hasn't been active in a long time and
wasn't so

problems embedding R
I have a problem with embedding R into perl. I
downloaded the interface program/module from
omegahat.org, and I can't seem to understand how to
use it. This is all done under Win NT 4.0. If anyone
have any clue or any suggestions on how to interface R
into perl, I would be greatful. Please email me with

Tried again with your smb.conf and minimal changes, and it gets worse:

extracting residual variance from glmmPQL
Dear all,
I am trying to simulate data sets from a model fitted with glmmPQL, in
order to compute the distribution of a summary statistics. My data are
binomial and I have a correlation term in my model. My model is
structured in the following way
m <- glmmPQL( fixed = cbind(sucess,failure) ~ x1 + x2 + ... ,
random = ~ 1 | bidon,
correlation = corGaus(form=~

glmmPQL and REML
Hi,
I am trying to use glmmPQL package for Generalized linear mixed models.
This package works by repeated calls to lme. lme uses by default REML
method for estimation. Then, does glmmmPQL use REML too? In contrast,
how can I change it?
I have tried it, writing : method="REML", but the program says: invalid
method REML.
If somebody can answer me....thanks,
Sonja

Jumb between macro's and variables
Hello All,
I have a macro and want to jump to another macro if a conditition is true or
false.
Asterisk is jumping to the next macro, but then the {ARG1} variable is not
working anymore.
part of config:
[macro-default]
exten => s,1,DBGet(do-not-disturb=DND/${ARG1})
exten => s,2,GotoIf($["${do-not-disturb}" = "YES"]?macro-do_not_disturb,s,1)
...

analyzing binomial data with spatially correlated errors
Dear R users,
I want to explain binomial data by a serie of fixed effects. My problem is
that my binomial data are spatially correlated. Naively, I thought I could
found something similar to gls to analyze such data. After some reading, I
decided that lmer is probably to tool I need. The model I want to fit would
look like
lmer ( cbind(n.success,n.failure) ~ (x1 + x2 + ... + xn)^2 ,

degrees of freedom in lme
Dear all,
I am starting to use the lme package (and plan to teach a course based on it
next semester...). To understand what lme is doing precisely, I used balanced
datasets described in Pinheiro and Bates and tried to compare the lme outputs
to that of aov. Here is what I obtained:
> data(Machines)
> summary(aov(score~Machine+Error(Worker/Machine),data=Machines))
Error: Worker

How to keep track of who is doing what?
Hello everyone,
I'm a new Asterisk user and I wonder what people usually do to keep
track of who is doing what in the system. For instance, I would like to
keep track of who is calling certain contexts/extensions and when that
happens. I'm also interested in logging customized status messages to a
text file. Suggestions would be extremely welcome!!
Best,
Leo

odd evaluation within correlation argument of glmmPQL
[I think I've seen this reported before but can't locate it any more.
I believe this oddity (glitch? feature?) is behind a query that
Jean-Baptiste Ferdy asked a year ago
<http://finzi.psych.upenn.edu/Rhelp08/2008-October/176449.html>]
It appears that glmmPQL looks in the global workspace, not
within the data frame specified by the "data" argument, for
the variables

call forwarding, most basic case
hello all,
i need some help and after trying the wiki i'm even more confused than i was.
i'm trying to set up call forwarding and running into problems...
i want the most basic call forwarding imaginable.
1. caller dials extension (say, 154)
2. dialplan is updated to forward caller's extension (based on
CALLERIDNUM) to voicemail, instead of ringing his endpoint.
3. caller is
