Lattice Wireframe Plot into LaTex
Dear R/LaTex user, I'm simply trying to include a plot created with the Lattice wireframe function into LaTex. I have no problems including other R plots into LaTex by exporting as a Postcript and then including the graph in LaTex using \begin{figure} % Requires \usepackage{graphicx} \includegraphics[width=]{mygraph.eps}\\ \caption{}\label{} \end{figure} However, for some reason when I

Thin frame line around R pdf output in LaTeX
I'm using R 2.7 on an Intel MAC. When I produce a pdf graph, I save the output window from the menu to a pdf file. This gives a very nice quality graph. However when I include the graph in a LaTeX document (actually beamer presentation) using \includegraphics I get a graphic with a very light framebox around the outside. Note, I'm not using a fbox command in LaTeX. Not sure if this is

inserting column headings between grouped rows
Hello all, I have what is conceptually a pretty simple poblem, but can''t think of an obvious solution. I have a group of objects (@items), that I wish to render as rows. Items have dates, and I wish to group them by that date, inserting a header row each time the date changes e.g.: header row row 11/11/2004 row 11/11/2004 header row row 11/23/2004 I''m currently

bug in dev.copy2pdf output?
Hi, Am using R 2.13.1 on Linux (Fedora). Is anybody else having problems with dev.copy2pdf xyplot output with the pch=1 (open circle) symbol? The symbols come out as "q" in the PDF. dev.copy2eps produces the correct results as does cairo_pdf. Other symbols produced with dev.copy2pdf seem ok. Thanks, Selwyn

Multi-page PDF using dev.copy2pdf(filename, onefile=TRUE)?
Hi all. I want to generate a sequence of n plots and save them into a single PDF file, one plot per page. From the R docs and other sources I gather the basic way to do this is save plot 1 into a file then append the 2:n plots to the same file.  This code shows my basic approach, but for some reason only the last plot is saved into the pdf. I've tried different variations (e.g. using onefile

plot width in Sweave
Hi I didn't find this in the manual: I need to change the width of a plot while I use sweave, so which command/parameters should I insert below, to change the width of a plot \begin{figure}[htbp] \begin{center} <<echo=TRUE, fig=TRUE>>= plot(Re(q),ylab ="",type="o",col="blue",lwd=1, sub=mystring) @ \caption{Original stick function (stimulus

pdf() and pdflatex
I am having good success in using pdf() to produce pdf graphics files for inclusion in documents processed by pdflatex [I'm using R 1.6.0 on Linux]. I am having one small problem consistently though, which I believe I also had with S-Plus's pdf.graph(): wasted space at the top of the graph which causes pdflatex to put the graph on a later page, when the current page has plenty of space.

Sweave, lty = 3 line incorect in pdf output
I'm having a problem with dotted lines (lty = 3) in the pdf output in documents generated with Sweave. In the displayed pdf, the dotted line does not show up and in the printed output, it is there but does not seem to respect the lwd argument, for example, it is very faint despite using lwd = 3. The dotted line is correct in a quartz window and if I save the Quartz window to a pdf and

Help with graphs in A4 size
Hi, I need to generate complex graphics which have to be shown in the plot window but also in pdf file, and they must have A4 size. This is the reason why I use width=8.27 and heigth=11.69. The problem is that I don't make it runs when I put something (text, lines, and so on) outside the plot region. I mean if I run the following code, it works perfectly, because the text "My

error message in simulation
Dear R-users, I am a dentist (so forgive me if my question looks stupid) and came across a problem when I did simulations to compare a few single level and two level regressions. The simulations were interrupted and an error message came out like 'Error in MEestimate(lmeSt, grps) : Singularity in backsolve at level 0, block 1'. My collegue suggested that this might be due to my codes
