Yum Dependency errors
Greetings, This is a new install on CentOs 4.1 dvd from a couple weeks ago. The initial yum updates worked fine but now There are about 15 things that get dependency errors and yum will not install the updates. Rebuild the RPM database, removed /var/cache/yum/* , yum update yum for the latest version and the errors still exist. When you query the rpm database the dependency are installed. Here

corrupt rpm problem

R GUI for Linux?

On Fedora Core Linux 4, I have a cron job that causes R to update all packages and install new ones. Lately, I notice in the log that some packages fail to install. These are ones that assume X is running. For example, the pbatR install requires tcltk to be loaded, and then the install fails because in a cron job, there is no DISPLAY environment. Dear All, Does anybody have experience with R package pbatR (http://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/pbatR/index.html)? I am trying to use it to analyze the family-based case-control data, but the package totally doesn?t work on my computer.
