Merb in production with God/Monit
Hey All, I just wanted to get other peoples take on problems when running merb in production? Just as Rails used to do, the mongrels tend to get heavy/unresponsive over time so need a good kicking by a watcher daemon like god or monit. However, I have had serious problems getting God to restart the process, as the "merb -k <port>" command doesnt appear to work reliably

When I run ./autogen.sh, the very last line says: config.status: error: cannot find input file: src/net/Makefile.in and when I try to run a make, I get: --things that seem okay-- Making all in src make[2]: Entering directory '/root/icecast2stuff/libshout/src' makefile:213: .deps/mp3.Plo: no such

GemPlugin or Mongrel::HttpHandler subclass
Hey all I am working with a technology standard (specific to the commercial print industry) by which each element within the workflow has bi- directional HTTP messaging. As each side needs a http server, I thought I could either: a) use a gem plugin to modify the behavior of mongrel b) subclass Mongrel::HttpHandler In short, its xml messaging between two points; each with a HTTP client

RoR on Apache2
Hello, I''ve been going though the "4 Days on Rails" tutorial at http://rails.homelinux.org/ test-driving ruby on rails using the WEBrick server without problems. I''m trying to move the app to be seen by apache2, and am having some troubles. I''ve looked through many guides online which all say pretty much the same thing, which, I think, I am doing.

v2.2.33 released
I have just made an attempt at compiling 2.2.33.1 and it fails on one of my servers - FreeBSD 8.4 where 2.2.32 has been running happily: This is where I am going to start the tests before I move to the other servers (FreeBSD 9.3, 10.3, 11): mv -f .deps/maildir-settings.Tpo .deps/maildir-settings.Plo /bin/bash ../../../../libtool --tag=CC --mode=compile gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I../../../..

rquotad (NFS) quota plugin
The attached patch is an updated version of my quota-rquotad patch for the quota plugin. Like quota-fs, it only does quota reporting, not enforcing or changing. It also only works on FreeBSD, and possibly other *BSD's. It lacks any and all configure-time tests to see if RPC is even supported, and hardcodes the (Free)BSD way of getting at the NFS server of an NFS mount. I'm mostly mailing

Optimal Configuration
Hey all First off, ive just switched to using mongrel_cluster and pound - its working a treat! Its far far faster than fast-cgi: operations that took a few seconds on fcgi now are almost instant with mongrel. Excellent! However, I''ve been trying to decide how best to utilise my equipment most effectively. I have a dual pro 3Ghz Xenon with 2GB RAM, and the server will be running a few
