Importar datos Statgraphics.

No sé si además del fichero, tienes acceso a Statgraphics.... panel/prepanel for polar plots ala xYplot
First a bit of background: After doing a search for a flexible polar plot function and coming up empty, I have begun writing one myself. Since I am new to writing mid-level graphics routines, this has required some learning about lattice, grid and related things. I am to the point where I have a workable proof of concept, but still need to make some improvements. My goal is to have

Statistical Software Comparison
Hi R users: I want to know if any of you had used Stata or Statgraphics. What are the advantages and disadvantages with respect to R on the following aspects? 1. Statistical functions or options for advanced experimental design (fractional, mixed models, greco-latin squares, split-plot, etc). 2. Bayesian approach to experimental design. 3. Experimental design planing options. 4. Manuals

save file, statgraphics
Hello I just installed wine without any problems, and executed a statistics programs called statgraphis. Everything went fine, I could do the calculations but then I wanted to save the result, the way I am used to it when I use it in windows. However when saving the result in a rtf file, I am asked where and I chose drive Y, which seems to be my home directory. Now some strange messages appear on

Sweave, R and complex latex projects
Hello all, I've been able to use R very successfully to run simple statistics and generate the plots I require. I've been evaluating Sweave, and have hit upon a small problem that I don't seem to be able to workaround. Sweave runs very well for single file latex documents, but I have a complex thesis made up of several parts and chapters. These are arranged with a master latex file

discrepancy in the result of R and SAS on same data in logistics regression
Dear Members, Greetings! I have come across a discrepancy shown by R and SAS results on same data for logistics regression.. When I processed the above csv file(1000.csv) for predicting the Action (i/c) by Age Group(1-7,Na) and Gender(M,F,Na) with GLM of R I get: R result Call: glm(formula = Action ~ Gender + AgeGroup, family = binomial, data = mydata1, na.action = na.pass) Deviance

nonlinear regression-getting the explained variation
Hi, I'm trying to teach myself R, and by the way, re-learning statistics using Crawley's "Statistics: an introduction using R". I've reached the regression chapter, and when it deals with non-linear regresion using the nls library I face the following problem: I follow the steps--- >deer<-read.table("c:\\temp\\jaws.txt",header=T) ---data available at

Rails spider/site copy with internal web requests
Hi all, On a related topic to Web spidering, I would like to solve a problem of internally spidering and saving a Rails application from within rails. The goal is to spider and save each resource in a site to a filesystem friendly structure /many/things/1?page=3 -> many_things_1_page_3.html or /many/things/1?page=3 -> many/things/1_page_3.html If a redirect is created

Spider Charts and Gruff: THE JOY OF GRAPHING
I hope this day finds you well. I need to generate Spider charts (aka radar charts) , and am using Gruff to do so. How can I show lines and axis numbers on a Spider chart? Here''s what I''m trying to make: http://img.skitch.com/20080925-m573hhdy4n4x6i92s17knjqjeg.jpg How can I have those 0 - 100 numbers, and the concentric cirles in the graph? Joe -- Posted via

Spider diagrams
Hi, I am trying to create what are called "spider diagrams" in the geochemical literature using R. A spider diagram is basically a plot of the atomic number versus the concentration on a log scale. Lines are drawn from each atomic number for each sample. Right now, my data frame looks like: SAMPLE SITE V3 LA.NASC LAATNUM CE.NASC CEATMNUM 1 1A:001

functional spider test for broken links?
Hi, After refactoring my site to have smaller controllers, I would like to spider test my site to find any broken links. Is there a way to do this with functional tests? Maybe regular expressions to find links and then follow them? Has anyone tried this or have a function they could share? Thanks, Peter

Spider Plot color problem
Hi all, I have encountered a problem which appears to have defeated my (admittedly nascent) R skills. I want to draw a spider plot with many cases (just over 300). I am primarily interested in the difference between 4 categories of cases, and want to display them as different colors. the col.stars parameter does not change the color of the lines (which I'm after), but fills the stars in

Series temporales
