Help with act_as_nested_set
Hi, I''m trying to get act_as_nested_set working, and I''m puzzled. I googled the following http://codefetch.com/cache?url=http://media.pragprog.com/titles/rails/code/r ails-code.tgz <http://codefetch.com/cache?url=http://media.pragprog.com/titles/rails/code/ rails-code.tgz&path=rails-code/ar/acts_as_nested_set.rb&lang=ruby&qy=ruby>

acts_as_nested_set does not work (in my case).
Hello, I am using acts_as_nested_set. My problem is that the columns "lft" and "rgt" get the value 0 if I create a new entity. If I delete an entity I get negative values (-1, -2, -3) - but for all entities. Is there anything missing? Is there any example for "acts_as_nested_set" in the web? -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

acts_as_threaded - help ???
Hi, has anyone successfully used the acts_as_threaded plugin with postgresql? I''m using rails 1.0 and ruby 1.8.4 on linux. Following the screencast on http://www.railtie.net/articles/2006/02/05/rails-acts_as_threaded-plugin , I got to where we''re ready to create our first post, having made the changes to controllers/posts_controller.rb, views/posts/_form.rhtml,

Bad values for acts_as_nested_set?
I moved from acts_as_tree to acts_as_nested_set because I need the all_children method. I''ve seen an alternative way to add this method to acts_as_tree here: http://www.chuckvose.com/articles/2006/05/24/recursive-children But I''d prefer to use the more efficient way of acts_as_nested_set (and not to have to revert to my old code). Anyway, here''s my issue: if I

BIND9_DLZ: TKEY is unacceptable - depending on the name server
Dear Samba experts, Since a couple of days I am trying to fix my domain. I have each two ADDCs on raspis on two sites. One is running on Raspian and works fine. The other three are on Gentoo and something is broken there. When I point the name resolution in resolv.conf to the Raspian machine the dynamic updates are just working fine: # horus /srv/samba/demoshare # samba_dnsupdate --verbose

second fs quota root crashes
Hallo. In our dovecot 1.2.6 server running under Solaris 9 I would like to set up a second quota root because the mail folders are in the users home directories and the inboxes of all users are in /var/mail. As soon as I add quota2 = fs:INBOX:noenforcing:mount=/var/mail the imap client crashes repeatedly as soon as the user tries to open a mail folder. Thanks for any help. Dovecot Logfile:

Problems saving an uploaded image to an app folder
In my app, the user can upload images. Rather than shoving the image data in the database, i want to put the filename and content type into the db, then rename the image with its record''s id number, and then save it into a local folder in my app folder. (hardcoded for now) All the details are being saved to the db ok, so as far as i know the "picture_file=" method is fine.

[LLVMdev] Changes to Debian's linker object files breaks building LLVM [crti.o, crt1.o, crtn.o]

Public file share Samba 4.6.5
I am trying to configure a public file share on \\fs1\vol1 From a Windows 7 command prompt, I enter: dir \\fs1\vol1 Windows says: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password. Where am I going wrong? Error log says: " SPNEGO login failed: NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_USER" - that must have something to do with this, but I thought that was the point of "map to guest = Bad User"

[LLVMdev] Building past few days with Clang++ and Clang produces errors on Cmake for Debian Linux

Enumerating over a Tree by Depth
I have a model using acts_as_tree which is working fine. Being new to Ruby I''m don''t know what enumerator is best to use for traversing a tree by depth. I can write one, but before I do I wanted to know if there is there an enumerator for traversing trees available that the community recommends? Thank you, Jose -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

[LLVMdev] Changes to Debian's linker object files breaks building LLVM [crti.o, crt1.o, crtn.o]
Seeing as GCC 4.6 works without breaking to build LLVM instead of Clang I think I'm going to bug the Debian proper to make it easier for Clang/LLVM to get the linker update changes. After all, Debian's breaking an awful lot of stuff lately so it seems reasonable for them to add this to their To Do List. - Marc On 08/24/2011 07:15 PM, Eli Friedman wrote: > On Wed, Aug 24, 2011 at

acts_as_tree with Modified Preorder Traversal?
Has anyone extended Rails''s acts_as_tree to use the Modified Preorder Traversal algorithm? This is a really clever trick for optimizing access to trees stored in databases, as described lucidly in this article: http://www.sitepoint.com/article/hierarchical-data-database/2 It adds two integer fields, a "left counter" and "right counter", to each row. About echo cancelling
Hi. I've implemented "echo cancel" to voip project. But it doesn't work well . (I cannot feel the enhancement with activated AGC) My encode settings : 1. frame size : 320 bytes. 2. sampling rate : 16000 Hz (WB) 3. mono echo state initialized like this : echo_state = speex_echo_state_init(framesize, framesize*16); and befor encode : speex_echo_cancel(echo_state,

question on usage of the libraries
Hi, I'm not sure if I should post this question to this list. If not; please tell me. Ok, here it comes: Is the following code correct for compressing audio? The output I get is so extremely small, but what is more important: if I pass it through zlib, it gets at least 50% smaller! Init: int bitrate = max_bandwidth * 8; speex_bits_init(&libspeex_bits); if
