Reshaping grouped data
Dear R-help list, I have grouped data, looking like this: cases <- c(23,12,56,81) total <- c(123,234,248,390) x1 <- c(0,0,1,1) x2 <- c(0,1,0,1) Data <- as.data.frame(cbind(cases,total,x1,x2)) Data I would like to run a logistic regression with group weights on these, where cases and (total-cases) are equal to the group weights (w). My final data would look

Changing selected elements of an array
Hi! I have a matrix defined on geographical positions (through) row and column names. I need to change a number of elements in this matrix using the information of a data.frame containing geographical positions and a number of variables. Changing the value of one specific element is easy, but changing on a number of selected positions seems more difficult. When I use the geographical

Number of hard links limit
Hi, There''s been discussion before on this list on the very small number of hard links supported by btrfs.[1][2] In those threads, an often asked question has been if there''s a real world use case the limit breaks. Also it has been pointed out that a fix for this would need a disk format change. As discussed in bug #15762 [3], there are certainly real-world use cases this

'unknown user' using dovecot LDA
Ok, one more issue to resolve. The old server was still using the postfix/virtual for delivery, but the new one is using the dovecot LDA. Now, when an email generated locally by a cron job is delivered, this shows in the log: 2013-12-22T10:29:55-05:00 host postfix/pickup[31400]: C67FD90F676B2: uid=0 from=<newsrv+rkhunter at example.com> 2013-12-22T10:29:55-05:00 host

Removing "Parsing /etc/asterisk/manager.conf" from CLI
Hello, Is there any way of removing this line from showing on the console? I have a script that logs in every few seconds to manager and it makes the CLI output very hard to follow because of the " == Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager.conf': Found". (Yes, Found! manager.conf was there 3 seconds ago, guess what it's still there.) There is a very old feature request about this

Testing basic direct x capability
Hi, I am running wine 0.9.58 and having problems running Counter Strike: Source, Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield. I think this is caused by the direct x layer in wine. My system runs opengl programs fine using the ATI driver (Radeon 3850). Is there any way I can test directx functionality without having to download a game? Dxdiag.exe is not included in wine. Best regards, Chris

RTCP not being sent when on hold
Hello, When I receive a call to my CounterPath Bria from Asterisk 1.4.18.1 and I place the call on hold, the call is dropped after 30 seconds. It looks like there is no RTCP/RTP sent to the client from Asterisk while on hold (music on hold playing to caller) thus client disconnects the call. During this time, I get the following messages in the CLI: NOTICE[24194] rtp.c: Unknown RTP codec 126

Multilevel modeling of animal behavior
Hello all, My question is how do I write a multilevel regression model of individual responses to environmental predictors that accounts for social interactions between individuals. i.e.; 1) Individual response is nested within a group response. 2) The same environmental predictors apply to both hierarchical levels but, 3) Lower level slope/intercept are also affected by high-level response.

Getting old versions of wine?
Hi, i used to play Warcraft 3 on wine very well years ago and recently decided to give it another go, only to find that it won't work with recent versions of wine. I think this is sad beyond words, but its not my project. I come here to ask some guidance in getting an old version of wine. My googling reveals that 0.9.10 is the one i should get. I use Ubuntu 7.10 and i can try to compile from

IAX2 speex payload using ZoIPer
Using Wireshark I can see that ZoIPer always send a 160 byte payload. First few payloads contain 20 bytes of data (what I believe to be a mode 3 frame, ie first byte in 0x18 - 0x1F range), followed by 0x7B (21st byte), ie. 5 bit 0x0F terminator padded with 011. ... and then zeroes all the way up to 160 bytes. ... but then after a few payloads there are more following these 21 bytes ...

no more mongrel on leopard!

Custom Form Builder Help
Hello All, We use a different custom form builder for our app, but I wanted to use facebooker''s typeahead widget in side the other form builder. I don''t know much about form builders, but I created a file in lib/ doing this: http://pastie.caboo.se/178776 It works great, except that the id''s and class names get messed up. Instead of school_name, I get
