package.skeleton.S4
Hi the devel list. I am adapting the package.skeleton to S4 classes and methods I would have been very proud to post a new working function on this list. Unfortunately, I do not manage to solve all the problems. Mainly - sys.source does not compile a file with setClass - dumpMethod does not exists yet In the following code, thise two problems are notified by a line ################# Still

how to install a locally built package
Hello useRs, I am trying to put my funcs in a package to avoid clutter in my workspace as the funcs are now in .Rprofile. All plain R code no compilations. Using win XP with a full cygwin install and R2.12 I first did package.skeleton("mypack",list="getdfv", namespace=T) # just a single func which created a folder with the required stuff in it. Calling R CMD build creates a

Converting .Rout file to pdf via Sweave automatically
The R documentation mentions to create a PDF or DVI file from an Rnw template, the Sweave command can be used used. However, is there any way to go from a .Rout file straight to pdf with an Rnw template ? What I'm trying to avoid is adding the Sweave markup to the .tex file manually. What I think I'm missing is the exact arguments to the Sweave command. I tried numerous forms of:

bug in Rf_PrintValue ?
I'm very green with R, so maybe this is not a bug, but it looks like one to me. The following program segfaults at the second call to Rf_PrintValue(). To failure depends on the value of the y-string. E.g., if I change it from "coverage" to, say, "COVERAGE", the segfault does not occur. /* bug.c */ #include <stdio.h> #include <Rinternals.h> #include

help files for libraries that aren't in the defaults library tree
Hello, I created a library for a bunch of functions that I use frequently so that I dont have to carry duplicate copies around to wherever I fire up an R sesssion. However, I have problems locating the help files for those functions. Here are some details. I created the library "myR" and installed this in /home/royle/R using: R INSTALL -l /home/royle/R /home/royle/Rpackages/myR

Difference between "R CMD build --binary" and "R CMD INSTALL --build"
As the title suggests, when building R packages on Windows, what is the difference between: R CMD build --binary mypack And R CMD INSTALL --build mypack ?? The former is suggested by my previous notes and seems to work, and the latter is suggested by http://www.biostat.jhsph.edu/~kbroman/Rintro/Rwinpack.html, and also seems to work. Thanks in advance Mick

Building a custom Windows installer
Dear r-devel list members, It's been several years since I last built a custom Windows installer for R, and despite my notes and the instructions in Sections 3.1.7 and D.4 of the R Installation and Administration Manual, I've run into a problem, receiving the following error message: ----------- snip ----------- C:\R\src\R-2.11.1\src\gnuwin32\installer>make myR

segfault caused by `icfit` in `interval` package
Dear R community, I am using the R package `interval` in order to perform some modelling tests of the NPMLE convergence in the case of censoring. So all I am doing is drawing a sample from exponential distribution, making it a censored sample and computing the NPMLE of its distribution function. But when run on Linux Calculate 10.4 the program keeps crashing and reporting a segmentation fault

Echo canceller strange behaviour
Hi, I use Echo Canceller from speex 1.2rc1. It works excellent, except one kind of test: if I use overloaded (and clipped) RIN and not interlaced local speech and echo in SIN, echo is not removed. I checked the sources (RIN and SIN) with EC diagnostic tool - delay and drift are ok. I would like to understand what the problem is and how to solve it. -- Victoria -------------- next part
