error: compiling R package
Hello,
I tried to build an own R package on Windows XP but get an error which I can't solve.
I called my package "pack". It works to creat the file "pack" with package.skeleton().
But when I try to compile it with Rcmd build --binary pack I obtain the following error:
IO::Seekable::seek missing at C:/R/R-2.9.0/share/perl/FileHandle.pm line 59.

[LLVMdev] llvm-config --cxxflags is not consistent when building by cmake.
Hi,
We found `llvm-config --cxxflags' does not have -fno-exceptions -fno-rtti
when using cmake to build LLVM.
Does anyone know how to fix it?

Similar package like SEM
Hello,
is there a similar package like SEM. In fact, I am looking for a package where I as input several given vector variables which are part of an autoregressive model.

package lattice can't be loeaded
I try to load the package lattice by library(lattice).
Although I have installed it through CRAN by internet as well as from a local directory using the zip-file, it can't be loaded into the editor.
Can anyone give advice, please.

Uncorrelated random vectors
Hello,
is it possible to create two uncorrelated random vectors for a given distribution.
In fact, I would like to have something like the function "rnorm" or "rlogis" with the extra property that they are uncorrelated.

In STATA there is command which has regression with clustering option. Can
anyone tell me what is the command for the same in R
for example in STATA
its regress Height Weight, cluster(id)

Using -fno-rtti and -fno-exceptions is an internal LLVM policy. There is
no reason to impose it on client code.

Re gression for loop test HELP! URGENT!

I'm new to R, and I'm stuck on a problem I don't know how to approach.
I have calculated a regression in the form of M ~ D + O + S, and I would
like to take this regression and test it with other samples, 5 at a time(5

Re gression for levels of a factor/xyplot type="r"
Hi,
I'm sure these are basic problems so I apologise in advance for my
ignorance. I have a dataset with X, Y, and a Factor with 4 levels. I am
trying to figure out how to use lm() to find the r2 value, slope and
intercept of an X~Y regression, for each level of the Factor. Is there a
way to do this automatically without having to specify different subsets of
the factor?

i have a series of regressions i need to run where everything is the same
except for the dependent variable, e.g.:
lm(y1 ~ x1+x2+x3+x4+x5, data=data)

I have a large dataset grouped by a factor and I want to perform a regression
on each data subset based on this factor. There are many ways to do this,
posted here and elsewhere. I have tried several. However I found one method
posted on the R wiki which works exactly as I want, and I like the elegance

extraction of mean square value from ANOVA

I am randomly generating values and then using an ANOVA table to find the
mean square value. I would like to form a loop that extracts the mean square
value from ANOVA in each iteration. Below is an example of what I am doing.

GAM with constraints
Hi,
I am trying to build GAM with linear constraints, for a general link
function, not only identity. If I understand it correctly, the function
pcls() can solve the problem, if the smoothness penalties are given.
What I need is to incorporate the constraints before calculating the
penalties. Can this be done in R?
Any help would be greately appreciated.
