point pattern interactions (Gcross and Kcross)
Dear R-users,
I am exploring disease spread in trees. I have locations for diseased trees
in 2004 and 2005 and want to know whether the patterns are independent. I
would like to use both the 'gcross' and 'kcross' functions (in spatstat).
I imported the data from two text files and created point objects using
as.ppp. I then created a marked planar point pattern using ppp. I am

[spatstat] Convert shapefile to pixel image
Dear all,
I am currently working with the spatstat package, using windows and pixel images.
First:
My aim is to transform a shapefile (see attached) into a pixel image.
My idea is to start transforming the shapefile into a Spatial Polygon file:
x <- readShapeSpatial("200001441.shp")
y <- as(x, "SpatialPolygons")
z <- as.owin(y)
Given z, I want to identify each

Test if remote file is actually RSS/XML
Hi all,
I want my users to be able to view RSS feeds of their choice on my site.
But i''d like to be able to check the files they are submitting as feeds
are actually XML before attempting to parse and display them.
I''ve been using feed tools to display the contents of feeds which works
perfectly, but i''d like some way to check if a file is a feed/xml.
Any pointers in

Filling polygons with points
Dear list,
are there any possibilities to fill a polygon with a point pattern or with a symbol pattern like '+' oder '-' instead of shading lines?
Thanks in advance

[PATCH klibc 0/2] Reproducible build
klibc currently builds and installs differently depending on the
locale and umask at build time. This series fixes that.

fit a marked poisson process using a quadrature scheme with 'spatstat'
Hello everyone,
My data consists of marked points and several covariates, whereby the marks
are the time points of the observations. The problem is, that one of the
covariates is hard to handle as an image. This covariate represents the type
of roads. As there aren't roads at every location of the map, one cannot
specify the value of the covariate at any point on a grid, which is
necessary to

Bug#622814: klibc: patch to make klcc play nice with multiarch linux-libc-dev
Package: klibc
Version: 1.5.20-1
Severity: normal
Tags: patch
User: ubuntu-devel at lists.ubuntu.com
Usertags: origin-ubuntu natty ubuntu-patch
Hi maks,
Since the Ubuntu linux-libc-dev is now installing its asm headers to the
multiarch /usr/include/<triplet>/ directory to allow co-installability, I've
pushed the attached patch to Ubuntu so klcc knows to include this path when
searching

Build problems: klibc with Linux 3.10.7
Gauche as it may be, I am reviving an old thread from January:
http://www.zytor.com/pipermail/klibc/2013-January/003402.html.
Building Smoothwall Express 3.1 in a chroot jail works well. (gcc 4.7.2, linux
3.4.58, klibc 2.0.1, et alia).
I'm now working on 'express-next' to prepare for a future release (linux
3.10.7, klibc 2.0.2, et alia). Same build system, worked through some

[PATCH klibc 0/4] Fix the KLIBCKERNEL{SRC,OBJ} mess
We currently use KLIBCKERNELSRC and KLIBCKERNELOBJ variables
which used to be required to point to a kernel source and object
directories. However the kernel headers were reorganised
starting in Linux 3.7 such that that doesn't work properly.
This series removes KLIBCKERNELOBJ and changes the use and
documentation of KLIBCKERNELSRC to be consistent.
Ben.

bivirate k-function
Hi
Is there anyone who can help a reporter (me) with the following:
I want to use the bivirate k-function to determin if burgerbars are
clustered around schools.
To that purpose I’ve been told to use the bivirate k-function, but my
program Arcview doesn’t contain that.
Im stuck on a dead end – how to I for a start get the data into R?

klibc-1.0.12 released
Hopefully I should be up to date with all patches; haven't integrated
the module-init-tools, and some of Erik's patches didn't make it for
different reasons, which hopefully can be resolved soon.
If you have sent another patch which I haven't applied, please do let me
know.
