Too slow computer?
Hello! I''ve put some questions on this list some weeks ago and I''ve got good answers. Thank you! Now I''ve finished my (beautyful) script and I ran it on my router... About my script: It routes packages based on their destination on the Internet. I have about 1650 preffered destination networks listed in some file. The script read this file and marks every package for

loop function and integrate?
Hi guys! I have to compute something and i don't know what i'm doing wrong. my code is a bit complex, but imagine that is something like this: a = c(1,2,3,4) ia = length(a) x = seq(1,100,length=0.1) ib = length(x) int1 = numeric(ib) b = numeric(ib) for(j in 1:ia) { H = function(x) {sin(x + a[j])} for(i in 1:ib) { int = integrate(H, lower = 0, upper

[LLVMdev] Eliminate PHI for non-copyable registers
In my hardware there are two special registers cannot be copied but can only be assigned and referenced (read) in the other instruction. They are allocatable also. br i1 %if_cond, label %then, label %else then: %x1 = fptosi float %y1 to i32 br label %endif else: %x2 = fptosi float %y2 to i32 br label %endif endif: %x3 = phi i32 [%x1, %then], [%x2, %else] PNE::LowerAtomiPHINode() fails

Redundant ptrtoint/inttoptr instructions
Hi all, We noticed a lot of unnecessary ptrtoint instructions that stand in way of some of our optimizations; the code pattern looks like this: bb1: %int1 = ptrtoint %struct.s* %ptr1 to i64 bb2: %int2 = ptrtoint %struct.s* %ptr2 to i64 %bb3: %phi.node = phi i64 [ %int1, %bb1 ], [%int2, %bb2 ] %ptr = inttoptr i64 %phi.node to %struct.s* In short, the pattern above arises due to: 1.

Data Simulation in R
Dear List: A few weeks ago I posted some questions regarding data simulation and received some very helpful comments, thank you. I have modified my code accordingly and have made some progress. However, I now am facing a new challenge along similar lines. I am attempting to simulate 250 datasets and then run the data through a linear model. I use rm() and gc() as I move along to clean up the

2 images on one plot
Dear all with image I can plot only one set of values in one plot. Do somebody have any insight how to put those 2 matrices into one picture so that in one cell in image picture are both values from mat[1,1] and mat2[1,1]. mat<-matrix(1:4, 2,2) mat2<-matrix(4:1,2,2) x <-1:2 y <-1:2 image(x, y, mat) image(x, y, mat2) The only way I found is to mix x or y for both matrices let

ts & daily timeseries
I have defined a daily timeseries for the 365 days of 2003 issuing: myts = ts(dati[,2:10],frequency=365,) > myts Time Series: Start = c(1, 1) End = c(1, 365) Frequency = 365 and mytime = as.POSIXct(strptime(as.character(dati[,1]),format="%Y-%m-%d")) contains the dates from "2003-01-01" to "2003-12-31" How can I combine mytime and myts in order to list

Help with syntax error
Hi, I have written boxplot commands of this form before, but I don''t quite understand why the function call is reporting a syntax error in this instance. All parameters passed to the function are strings. Thanks in advance. Payam > simplevar <- function(wframe,column1,column2) { + tframe <- get(wframe) + x1 <- which(names(wframe)==column1) + x2 <-

Redundant ptrtoint/inttoptr instructions
My general feeling is this: No optimizations should be creating int2ptr/ptr2int. We really need to fix them all. They should use pointer casts and i8* GEPs. This has, unfortunately, been a problem for a long time. As Johannes says, optimizing int2ptr/ptr2int is very tricky. In part, becaue all dependencies, including implicit control dependencies, end up being part of the resulting aliasing

Subtracting timeseries objects
Sorry to keep posting but I want to do this right and I'm hoping for some pointers I now have two time series objects which I need to subtract. Unfortunatly the two series dont have the same sample rates. When I try to subtract them avgSub<-avg1-avg2 The time series object is clever enough to object. So I guess I need to write a function for subtraction of the time series objects which

dumping/loading objects with 'tsp' attribute
Dear all, I'm indirectly faced with the fact that setting the 'tsp' attribute of an object modifies its class definition: > class( structure(1:2, tsp=c(1,2,1), class=c("myts","ts")) ) [1] "ts" "myts" In general, this is of really little (ok, I admit: totally no) interest for me because 'myts' class is added just after assigning the

Time series indexes
I tried to assign values to specific elements of a time series and got in trouble. The code below should be almost self-explanatory. I wanted to assign 0 to the first element of x, but instead I assigned zero to the second element of x, which is not what I wanted. Is there a function that will allow me to do this without going into index arithmetic (which would be prone to errors)? FS >

[OpenCL] Implicit arithmetic conversion of INT_MIN to int vector type
Hello, I recently came across an OpenCL kernel in which an int vector type was subtracted from the INT_MIN constant, e.g. int2 v2 = INT_MIN - (int2)(0); INT_MIN was defined as #define INT_MIN (-2147483648) Clang in OpenCL modes (-x cl) produces the following error: vector_conversion.c:12:42: error: can't convert between vector values of different size ('long' and 'int2'

Modifying Package Data
The bio.infer package contains a data frame /usr/lib/R/library/bio.infer/data/itis.ttable.rda that needs to be modified. After loading the bio.infer package and attaching the data frame with the data() function, I wrote the data frame to a text file. After adding another row to the data frame I applied read.table() to create a data frame, but it's in my pwd, not the R library data

couldn't find function "print.tframe"
I have an object with an attribute "tframe" for which there is a generic method print.tframe and also a method print.tframe.default defined in a library. However, when I use attributes(object) I get the message $tframe Error: couldn't find function "print.tframe" It's as if <primitive: attributes> is not looking through the search list? Any suggestions?
