Mean of matrices entries in list of lists
Hey there,
I've got a list of lists with matrices:
A list with 13 entries (representing years), each of them another list with
12 matrices (representing one month). In each matrix there are as many rows
as there are hours in the different months and 2 columns, since two
meteorological parameters are measured.
What I want to do is to calculate the hourly mean values for each month over

Testing for warning inside functions
I am looking for a way to get a warning message
immediately after an evaluation within a function.
To get error messages you can use geterrmessage().
But I found no function that allows me to check for
warnings.
Five years ago this questions has been posted
but I haven't found any answer.
Thanks for any help.

BUG report : 'rnorm' (LINUX, R 1.6.2) (PR#2682)
Dear colleague,
unfortunately 'rnorm' does not create normal distributed numbers as
you can see with following histogramm:
> hist(rnorm(1000000),breaks=100)
and
> hist(pnorm(rnorm(1000000)),breaks=100)
I have done several chi^2-tests which have all failed:

> f0<-rep(anz/N,times=N)

Dear all,
I am new R user and I am sure that this question has been asked quite often
and I have also googled it and read about it! I understood that in order to
read excel sheet into R you need to open it and saved it as csv or text, is
this true? or you can use read.delim2 and read.csv2 to do this without the
following error

Reading a specific column of a csv file in a loop
Dear all:
I have two larges files with 2000 columns. For each file I am
performing a loop to extract the "i"th element of each file and create
a data frame with both "i"th elements in order to perform further
analysis. I am not extracting all the "i"th elements but only certain
which I am indicating on a vector called "d".
See an example of my code below

Share & Domain Level Authentication Required From Same Server
Using 'Samba version 2.2.1a'
Please could someone offer advice in order to configure the following.
I need domain level authentication for most shares, however 1 share needs to be
made available to a
none domained NT client, such that perhaps share or user level security would be
appropriate. How can this
be configured on a single samba server.
Thanks in advance to anyone who responds

gnugk musst send all calls to asterisk and asterisk must do his choice

Making calls to our h323 switch works fine over asterisk. what must i
configure to get inboung h323 calls from our gnugk to asterisk?
any hints for me?

[PATCH] xen/build: Remove hacked up version of figlet
This hacked up version of figlet contributes a supprisingly large proportion
of the Coverity issues found under xen/ (and therefore attributed against Xen)
Figlet can be found in all distros, so make use of it.
We keep xen.flf (being the Xen figlet font) and replace the hacked up octal
transform with a short python script.
The Xen Makefile has been tweaked in such a way that it still prints the

we need openh323 GK for astrerisk, too?. And how can i tell asterisk
to sent all none SIP-ip calls to the gatekeeper over h323?

Help re speech software for the visually impaired
Hi,
Not too sure what you're looking for, but Speex isn't a screen reader,
it's a compression algorithm. Also, there's no with thing as Speex
version V208.
Cheers,
