R command "leap"
After applying the "step" command to a long list of predictors I came up with the following showing there still are some non significant coefficients. I'd like to try the command "leap". However, I don't quite understand how it returns the spared predicting variables. Can please, someone help ? Tank you in advance. Mara EM > summary(stepmod) Call: lm(formula =

[beldridg@best.com: Re: [fw-wiz] SecureID vs Certificates]
Hmmm... You guys aware of this project to incorporate Smart Cards into ssh-agent? I remember hearing about some stuff for OpenSSL, but I don't recall hearing about this on the OpenSSH list or on the Muscle list. This would be a really nice thing... :-) Mike -- Michael H. Wintab32 - Tablet support - VBtablet & wintab working for Dogwaffle?
I too would be very interested in knowing what's happening with wintab32 under wine - is it usable? How about in conjunction with VBtablet from www.greenreaper.co.uk ? He has a small test program there which reports pressure, angle etc.... you might want to see if that works. Does somebody on this list have a Wacom, AceCad, Pablo (Disney Magic Artist) or Aiptek tablet to try Dogwaffle with

What are some programs to use to trace spoofers?
ALL, Our Primary DNS has been broken into twice in the last week. The first time it happened I noticed the hacker used named for means of gaining entry. This guy was good at hiding his/her tracks so we reinstalled the OS and left a minimum install to see if it was done again. We logged all goings on from a secure remote machine. We got the hacker''s IP address and even some of what

remote port forwarding timeout?
Hi, is it possible to establish a remote port forwarding with a timeout? I want ssh -R 2000:x.y.z:80 --remote-forwarding-timeout 10 sleep 100 to return after 100 sec. But the remote sshd should be listening on port 2000 only for 10 sec and then close the listening socket. For the last 90 sec port 2000 should not be forwarded anymore but established connections should remain working. If it

adjusted R^2 vs. ordinary R^2
I thought the point of adjusting the R^2 for degrees of freedom is to allow comparisons about goodness of fit between similar models with different numbers of data points. Someone has suggested to me off-list that this might not be the case. Is an ADJUSTED R^2 for a four-parameter, five-point model reliably comparable to the adjusted R^2 of a four-parameter, 100-point model? If such values

Confidence intervals plot
Hi all!! I am trying to plot several confidence intervals in a unique plot. That is, for each x, I have a confidence interval for a parameter related to x and I would like to plot them in the same plot, in order to compare them. The plot would look like some parallel vertical lines, each one corresponding to a x value. Their extrem points would be the confidence interval limits. I do not know if

proportional odds model
Hi all!! I am using a proportinal odds model to study some ordered categorical data. I am trying to predict one ordered categorical variable taking into account only another categorical variable. I am using polr from the R MASS library. It seems to work ok, but I'm still getting familiar and I don't know how to assess goodness of fit. I have this output, when using response ~ independent
