[RFC PATCHv2] Intrinsics/RTCD related fixes. Mostly x86.
Nit: in dual_inner_prod_sse, why not do both horizontal sums at the same time? As in: xsum1 = _mm_add_ps(_mm_movelh_ps(xsum1, xsum2), _mm_movehl_ps(xsum2, xsum1)); xsum1 = _mm_add_ps(xsum1, _mm_shuffle_ps(xsum1, xsum1, 0xf5)); _mm_store_ss(xy1, xsum1); _mm_store_ss(xy2, _mm_movehl_ps(xsum1, xsum1)); --John

Patch cleaning up Opus x86 intrinsics configury
The attached patch cleans up Opus's x86 intrinsics configury. It: * Makes ?enable-intrinsics work with clang and other non-GCC compilers * Enables RTCD for the floating-point-mode SSE code in Celt. * Disables use of RTCD in cases where the compiler targets an instruction set by default. * Enables the SSE4.1 Silk optimizations that apply to the common parts of Silk when Opus is built in

Hello everyone, I would like to construct a datafram with the following command. eval(parse(text=paste("df=data.frame(", cmd, ")", sep=""))) But it comes out " Error in parse(file, n, text, prompt, srcfile, encoding) : syntax error, unexpected $undefined, expecting ',' in "df=data.frame(cbcDummy10to12 = 1,cbcForeWrld_Ret =

uniform and clumped point plots
I am trying to generate two dimensional random coordinates. For randomly distributed data I have simply used >xy<-cbind(runif(100),runif(100)) However I also want to generate coordinates that are more uniformly distributed, and coordinates that are more contagiously distributed than the above. Can anyone make any suggestions Thanks. Dr Terry Beutel Rangeland Scientist Animal

[RFC PATCH v1 0/4] Enable aarch64 intrinsics/Ne10
Hi All, Since I continue to base my work on top of Jonathan's patch, and my previous Ne10 fft/ifft/mdct_forward/backward patches, I thought it would be better to just post all new patches as a patch series. Please let me know if anyone disagrees with this approach. You can see wip branch of all latest patches at https://git.linaro.org/people/viswanath.puttagunta/opus.git Branch:

Different behaviour in Linux and Windows (PR#1293)
Hi I have written a small function to calculate distances between pairs of landmarks ('my.dist' bellow). I gave it to a colleague that works with MSWindows and the function doesn't give the right answer: R 1.4.1 for Linux: > my.dist() [1] 22 561 R 1.4.1 for Windows: > my.dist() [1] 22 560 Warning message: Replacement length not a multiple of the elements to replace in

[RFC PATCH v1 0/5] aarch64: celt_pitch_xcorr: Fixed point series
Hi Timothy, As I mentioned earlier [1], I now fixed compile issues with fixed point and resubmitting the patch. I also have new patch that does intrinsics optimizations for celt_pitch_xcorr targetting aarch64. You can find my latest work-in-progress branch at [2] For reference, you can use the Ne10 pre-built libraries at [3] Note that I am working with Phil at ARM to get my patch at [4]

[RFC PATCH v2]: Ne10 fft fixed and previous 0/8]
Hi All, As per Timothy's suggestion, disabling mdct_forward for fixed point. Only effects armv7,armv8: Extend fixed fft NE10 optimizations to mdct Rest of patches are same as in [1] For reference, latest wip code for opus is at [2] Still working with NE10 team at ARM to get corner cases of mdct_forward. Will update with another patch when issue in NE10 gets fixed. Regards, Vish [1]:

add points to wireframe
Hello R-classicist won't like the following question due to there's no minimal reproducible example and the question was posted already. Anyway I'm not able understand this rather complicated version of "add points to wireframe". what I have is matrix 3x2000 with a dem<-(x,y,z, coordinates) (not provided). with follwing code I want to produce the wireframe and add some

Hi All, Changes from RFC v2 [1] armv7,armv8: Extend fixed fft NE10 optimizations to mdct - Overflow issue fixed by Phil at ARM. Ne10 wip at [2]. Should be upstream soon. - So, re-enabled using fixed fft for mdct_forward which was disabled in RFCv2 armv7,armv8: Optimize fixed point fft using NE10 library - Thanks to Jonathan Lennox, fixed some build fixes on iOS and some copy-paste errors Rest

[RFC PATCH v1 0/8] Ne10 fft fixed and previous
Hello Timothy / Jean-Marc / opus-dev, This patch series is follow up on work I posted on [1]. In addition to what was posted on [1], this patch series mainly integrates Fixed point FFT implementations in NE10 library into opus. You can view my opus wip code at [2]. Note that while I found some issues both with the NE10 library(fixed fft) and with Linaro toolchain (armv8 intrinsics), the work

Use Windows USB drivers?
Hi, I'm using an application that works very well with Wine but that application requires a specific USB hardware where no (and no similar) Linux driver is available for. Therefore my question is: the application comes with a fully working Windows driver for that hardware, is it possible to use that driver to access the hardware via Wine? Until now I could not get it work but I'd expect

Reducing space around lattice wireframe plots
Dear R-help. When plotting 3D wireframe plots with the lattice package, there is often a lot of space between the actual plot (i.e., cube) and panel borders. For a single wireframe, this is not a problem, but when plotting multiple wireframes, the wasted space decreases the size of the plots very much. Is there a way to decrease this space/margin? I could not find any information about it in

Basic: setting resolution and size of an R graphic
Dear List, I am sorry if this perhaps a too basic question, but I have not found an answer in Google or in the R help system. I am trying to use R to do a very simple analysis of some data (RT-PCR and Western analysis) with a T-test and to plot the results as a histogram with error bars. (I have pasted an example script at the bottom of this mail). In order to use this for publication, I would

Is there a libsmb to make a client / server ?
Hello, first I would like to tell to the samba developpers that they did a great job! Samba is very nice! I currently code a file server compatible with multiple network protocols. Is there somewhere a libsmb with an API to make easy a Samba client and server? I would like that my file server is compatible with Windows, it's because I choose Samba. I need also to add additional operation
