Hi, if we do something like that for windows (which might be useful) we should do the same for X, i.e., use the X clipboard in the same way. Not that I know how to access it but it shouldn't be too hard to find out. Both would probably come down to having something like read.table(text=foo, ...) along with foo <- getClipboard(...) reading a text string from the X or Windows
