Using windows() and jpeg()
Hello, I have the following question, which I haven't been able to resolve after days of trying. I used to save my plots as jpegs using the savePlot command. However, that seems to result in lost resolution. So now I'm trying to use the jpeg( ) function, but am having trouble because it seems to be incompatible with the windows (width=, height=) command. It's important for me to

RcmdrPlugin doesn't work under R280
Dear all, Some time ago, I have build a RcmdrPlugin.* under R.2.7.1 and the loading of my plug-in into R was running OK (back then I was using Rcmdr version 1.3-5). After updating the R and Rcmdr to versions 2.8.0, 1.4-5 respectively, I have problems loading the plug-in. Does anybody know why? I have tried to detect the problem by tracing back errors that might have occurred, but couldn't

Writing Rcmdr Plugins
Dear all, I am trying to write a plugin for the RCommander and having troubles understanding how to actually do that. I have read Mr. Fox's tutorial about writing Rcmdr plugins and though.... it seems to me that some steps are missing. I would like to know, whether there are some Commands which generate a plugin package out of a given library. Or do we just have to attach the .First.lib

summing values by week - based on daily dates - but with some dates missing
Dear everybody, I have the following challenge. I have a data set with 2 subgroups, dates (days), and corresponding values (see example code below). Within each subgroup: I need to aggregate (sum) the values by week - for weeks that start on a Monday (for example, 2008-12-29 was a Monday). I find it difficult because I have missing dates in my data - so that sometimes I don't even have the

[LLVMdev] LLVM,metadata for namespaces
just off the cuff, have you actually created and used any names in the namespace. I don't know for sure, but it wouldn't surprise me if the namespace doesn't exist independently of any uses. ------------------------------ From: Irina Lipov Sent: 9/19/2011 3:16 AM To: llvmdev at cs.uiuc.edu Subject: [LLVMdev] LLVM,metadata for namespaces Hello, I am wring front end for compiler ,the

RExcel foreground and background server
Dear all, I have a question regarding background and foreground server in RExcel: Can somebody explain the main difference between them? As far as I understood from the RExcel webpage, for both of them one needs rights for access to Windows registries. The only difference that I can see so far is that for the installation of the background server, one needs the R(D)COM package, whereas for the

[LLVMdev] LLVM,metadata for namespaces
yes.I have in each namespace at least one function. And I call these functions later. What I tried to do is to take module scope iterate all namespaces defined in it and call createNameSpace for each of them. When debugging I see that the namespaces are generated ,but in IR file there is no debug information for namespaces Also I tried to generate debug information for namespaces ,while treating

rownames, colnames, and date and time
I noticed something surprising (in R 2.2.1 on WinXP) According to the documentation, rownames and colnames are character vectors. Assigning a vector of class POSIXct or POSIXlt as rownames or colnames therefore is not strictly according to the rules. In some cases, R performs a reasonable typecast, but in some other cases where the same typecast also would be possible, it does not. Assigning a

rownames, colnames, and date and time
Hi all I was wondering whether there has ever been an update on the rownames and colnames behaviour as described by Eric below? I still get the same behaviour, exactly as described by Eric, on my WinXP installation of R-2.3.0. I also posted a message to r-help on Friday but looking through the online archives it seems to have not made it to the list. I would agree with Eric that a consistent

[LLVMdev] Internal API Changes
So, I just sync'd to LLVM tip and added the call to DIBuilder::finalize(). But even with that change I am getting an error when I try to run llc: Assertion failed: (TheCU && "Unable to find compile unit!"), function endFunction, file /Users/talin/Projects/llvm/lib/CodeGen/AsmPrinter/DwarfDebug.cpp, line 1306. And looking at the .bc dissassembly, I see there are indeed

reading dates in Excel into R
I am reading dates in Excel2007 into R. Here are the functions I used: library(RODBC) channel<-odbcConnectExcel2007("myfile.xlsx") tmp<-sqlFetch(channel,"1",as.is=T) The dates in myfile.xlsx are all in this format: mm/dd/yyyy. But when I read it to R, some columns look like "yyyy-mm-dd 00:00:00", some columns look like "yyyy-mm-dd", and some
