Problem with Samba DFS and Active Directory/XP
Hi,
Samba version 3.0.28 from RPM samba-3.0.28-1.el5_2.1 on Scientific
Linux 5. Although I'm finding this problem with samba 3.0.33 and a few
others I've randomly tried.
Full experiment here: http://xweb.geos.ed.ac.uk/~fgibbins/DFS-tests.txt
I've got an AD joined samba server which exports a share to an AD
joined XP machine, same M$ 2003 AD in both cases. This share is

[LLVMdev] [DragonEgg] [Polly] Should we expect DragonEgg to produce identical LLVM IR for identical GIMPLE?
Dear all,
In our compiler we use a modified version LLVM Polly, which is very
sensitive to proper code generation. Among the number of limitations, the
loop region (enclosed by phi node on induction variable and branch) is
required to be free of additional memory-dependent branches. In other
words, there must be no conditional "br" instructions below phi nodes. The
problem we are facing

Centos as a network recorder and request
I am looking at using CentOS to use as a network recorder to enhance our
security analysis. During my research I found that the linux kernel (not
CentOS specific) has a bad problem of dropping packets on gigabit
connections. This problem exists even on a dual xeon system with 1gb ram
using a minimal install. Once I found the ethereal performance wiki I
realized the problem was not in the system

ggplot rank stack bar automatically.
Hi, all,
I am currently trying to learn this example.
http://learnr.wordpress.com/2009/03/17/ggplot2-barplots/
I created the stack bar easily.
If I would like to rank the stack bar from the highest on the right,
shortest on the left and eventually
I could show the data "1991-00" on the left and "1823-30" on the right, how
could I do that?
Apart from this, I find

aggregating data
Hi,
I am interested in using the cast function in R to perform some aggregation. I did once manage to get it working, but have now forgotten how I did this. So here is my dilemma. I have several thousands of probes (about 180,000) corresponding to each gene; what I'd like to do is obtain is a frequency count of the various occurrences of each probes for each gene.
The data would look

Entering Data Files
Hi,
Entering data from a given file is the hardest part of learning R for me.
For example, I have this datafile from Moore's text:

new cross-platform basic-statistics GUI
Dear R-announce list members,
I've submitted a new package to CRAN, Rcmdr, which provides a
cross-platform basic-statistics GUI for R. Rcmdr is based on the tcltk
package and uses only standard Tk widgets. It therefore runs under Windows
if Tcl/Tk support is installed with R, although it requires the
single-document interface (SDI). I've tested Rcmdr with Windows and Red Hat
Linux;

Weighting the author of a doc when that term can also appear as a frequent term in other docs
We have a corpus of academic papers. Sometimes it happens that there is
an academic controversy and one paper is a response or rebuttal to
another paper. The name of the author of the first paper may appear many
times in the second paper. So in light of this, how should we set our
weight on the author field?
Here is an example:

[RFC] Context-sensitive Sample PGO with Pseudo-Instrumentation
In addition to an IR block id or probe Id, we’ll also need to know the inline context of a probe if it comes from an inlinee. The current pseudo probe encoding is based on a DFS walk of the inline tree. A MIR BB may contain probes from different inlinees, and we may need to extend the BB-info format for encode the inline contexts there. I’m happy to work with you on a encoding format that can be

did not worked well before).
