Problem with NLSYSTEMFIT()
Hello,
I want to solve a nonlinear 3SLS problem with "nlsystemfit()". The
equations
are of the form
y_it = f_i(x,t,theta)
The functions f_i(.) have to be formulated as R-functions. When invoking
"nlsystemfit()" I get the error
Error in deriv.formula(eqns[[i]], names(parmnames)) :
Function 'f1' is not in the derivatives table

[PATCH v2 1/2] drm/nouveau: Don't enabling polling twice on runtime resume
As it turns out, on cards that actually have CRTCs on them we're already
calling drm_kms_helper_poll_enable(drm_dev) from
nouveau_display_resume() before we call it in
nouveau_pmops_runtime_resume(). This leads us to accidentally trying to
enable polling twice, which results in a potential deadlock between the
RPM locks and drm_dev->mode_config.mutex if we end up trying to enable
polling

Parameter Constraints in nls.lm()
Hello,
Is there a possibility of setting parameter constraints in nls.lm() ?
The documentation does not say anything on that explicitly.
In order to achieve the same effect, the criterion function could be
penalized
outside the valid domain. Is that a correct procedure?
Kind regards,
Kilian

Error using "White-corrected" Anova (white.adjust="hc3")
Hello.
I try to compute a "White-corrected" ANOVA. Therefore I use the command "Anova" implemented in the car()-package):
Anova(modelname, white.adjust="hc3")
and receive the error message:
"Fehler in SS[i] <- SS.term(names[i]) : nichts zu ersetzen" (German)

How to calculate errors in histogram values
Hi there,
I'm new to R but I thought this is the most likely place I could get advice or
hints w.r.t the following problem:
I have a series of measurements xi with associated uncertainties dxi. I would
like to construct the probability density histogram of this data where each
density estimate has an associated error that is derived from the dxi. In
other words, for large dxi the

Voice Activation Level (speex 1.1.11.1)
Sorry.
I forgotten the words volume or loudness.
But it is know as microphone stroke too, i think.
If something can tell me something about that
procedure it would complete my pleasure.
To bring back memories,
i only wanted to know wheather i can change a
variable that holds the sound intensity (loudness)
needet to start "encoding >> sending" if the speex codec
is in voice

varphi symbol for ylab expression
Hi all,
it is possible to invoke certain graphical functions (e.g. curve)
with an expression argument, e.g. "ylab=expression(phi)". There are
some greek letters with a second script. For instance, in latex
two symbols do exist: phi and varphi. Is the second symbol also
available in an expression()? If yes, how?
Kind regards,
Kilian

--files-from and --delete mutually exclusive?
Hi rsync developers,
I'm trying to get some fancy mirroring done with selecting files from a
larger archive through the --files-from option. The only problem that I
do see is that rsync will not eat the --delete option whatever I try.
Thus, all the old files remain in the mirror archive instead of being
deleted.
To be more clearly, I want the rsync --files-from option to behave like

Mature SOAP Interface for R
Hello, we are writing rich internet user interfaces and like to call R
for some of the computational needs on the data, as well as some
creation of image files. Our objects communicate via the SOAP
interface. We have been researching the various packages to expose R as
a SOAP service.
No current CRAN SOAP packages however.

Total Harmonic Distortion THD
Hi
Has anybody done THD or THD-N measurements with the CELT Codec (bext would
be on various bit rates)
If someone could share results for Mono at 64kBit and Stereo at 128 and 196kBit it
would be great.
thank you very much
Jochen

/* Check for midi header in logical stream */
Hello List,
as an long time macintosh user , musican/producer/programmer , i am very
upset that another great technology (DSS ) vanished because of http

fantastic and evolved media streaming server.
I am very interested in Midi, especialy the possibility to *sync Audio with
Midi*.
So my question , would it be possible to stream a

Building GUI for custom R application
HI R users,
I would appreciate information/examples/suggestions on building GUIs
for R applications.
I am currently working on a project that would require the following
functionalities :
1) Display a window to the user. Provide a function to scan local
drive and choose dataset file.
2) Display the column names for the user to choose the dependent
variable and the independent variables.
3) Fit

[LLVMdev] Solaris (sparc) llc bugs
Hello.
I have been trying to check, how llvm works on Solaris recently.
First I have tested lli, whitch seems to execute the bytecode generated
on Linux without any problems. However, llc has failed to generate valid
SPARC assembler code even on the helloworld example. Here is the generated
code:
