times family unavailable in postscript device (Ubuntu Linux)

dev.print and postscript device problem
Hello to the list, I noticed something that it seems weird to me with postscript device in dev.print function. Suppose this little code: x<-1:10 par(family="sans") plot(x, main="main") Using dev.print with pdf device brings no problem dev.print(device=pdf, file="test.pdf") But using postscript device dev.print(device=postscript, file="test.ps") I get

Writing output to a file in a loop
Hello, My problem is, that I have to build hundreds of GARCH models to obtain volatility forecasts. I would like to run a loop, that would build those forecasts for me. There is no problem, with writing only the results of the forecasts, but I'd like to have stored results of the models in some file, that I could check later, what are the models like, to be able to compare if I should use

issue with Rd2pdf and \Sexpr in Rd files

Invalid font in bitmap()
Dear all, A few weeks ago I asked about X11() availability using CGI-perl. The general advice was to use bitmap which requires ghostscript (Xvnc and Xvbf were the other alternatives).
